Digital marketing internship

The internship was great and I gained a lot of very valuable experience that helped me to secure a job afterwards. The intern group team were very helpful and made the process of getting an internship easy. They also set of various events which allowed us to meet other interns & make new friends.

I highly recommend the intern group to anyone considering doing an internship abroad. It's a great way to gain experience, make new friends and explore a new city!

What would you improve about this program?
I feel everything was very rushed from the time I found out I got the internship to when I needed to start. It took awhile for me to get the visa & ended up having to pay extra fees to get it rushed to me. I only found out my visa was approved a week before I was set to leave.

I couldn’t recommend it more!

The whole internship program is run superbly- I couldn't recommend it more! The interngroup helped me organise my trip well and gave me a massive amount of details about Hong Kong before I even arrived. When I arrived in Hong Kong I was welcomed with open arms by the staff and fellow interns, I felt immediately at ease, safe, looked after and welcome. Ryan, Yiyan and Steph do an excellent job. I really enjoyed the amazing internship they helped me secure and I was given a detailed reference from my boss once I left which I believe will greatly help with future job applications. The social aspects of the group were arranged excellently, there was never a moments silence! There is a Whattsapp group were you can arrange meals, drinks and nights out after work and everyone is a similar age and of the same mentality that we had a very fun social life. The only sad part was leaving- so I extended my time in Hong Kong for another month! I have had the most incredible, once in a life time experience and made some lifelong friends around the world.

Intern London

Wonderful customer service, an e-mail never went unanswered. The accommodations were lovely and within reasonable distance to anything/everything you need. Socials events were a fun time with ample opportunities to meet new interns. London is a city filled with loads of things to do and attractions to see. Definitely made life-long friendships and got a first-hand experience of what is it like to work in my future career field. Would recommend to any recent graduate craving a new adventure, international experience and a taste of the real world in a subject area that interests you.

Intern Group Hong Kong Finance

Intern Group organised a wonderful experience in Hong Kong. It not only included the internship at a firm in an industry I was interested in that helped me learn things as well as gain some insight into the industry. The Group also organised activities outside of work which were interesting and all the staff members were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This helped to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in a foreign city which can be quite daunting.

Hong Kong is also a great city to do a work internship in because it's a city with an extremely vibrant culture and nightlife. So even if you work into the evening there are still many things you can do.

What would you improve about this program?
The firm I was assigned to could have been slightly more organised with their program, it started off a bit shaky, but after the first couple of weeks the tasks I was assigned to were a lot more interesting and enjoyable to do and I was able to learn a lot more while the first couple of weeks were a bit hit or miss admittedly.

16 Amazing weeks in HK - Hospitality Internship

I've had the best time in HK! This 16 weeks internship have made me a better person and I've gained so much knowledge and grown so much professionally, culturally and personally. I don't regret choosing Intern Hong Kong as my placement agency since they did such a great job helping me with the visa application, school requirements, internship placement and securing me a fantastic accommodation at a prime location! They basically found a company for me to have my internship and it was a great Food and Beverage consultancy and management group, wherein I was taught basic management, marketing, accounting, retail and service. Also it's great having the internship with them because everyone was so nice and welcoming. All other interns with me were very well educated, open minded, friendly and fun, not to mention the incredibly helpful staff! They built an intern community where everyone is like family! We went out a lot and just enjoyed the internship experience outside of work in the amazing city. I've also really enjoyed all the included excursions, especially to Macau, the Asian Las Vegas, it's definitely something to look forward to. I've never felt more free, independent and responsible. Basically, the best weeks of my life! I'd definitely recommended it to anyone!

Great internship experience

I interned at London in fashion for 3 months.

It was a wonderful experience!

Initially I felt nervous, arriving at a new country where I knew nobody. But InternLondon made sure that I felt at home!

The program is really well structured, and allows you to meet many new people. Regular catch-ups ensures that you're always surrounded by people going through the same things as you. Paid events in the programme allow you gain the full London experience!

The accommodation was great, particularly because I lived close to my new friends.

Definitely an experience that I will hold on to for the rest of my life.

It Is What You Make It

I only have positive things to say about The Intern Group. The program lived up to what was described on the website. The support and administrative team are everything you could hope for. The program provides a great environment to develop personally and professionally. How much you get out of it depends on your attitude and the effort you put in.

The best thing is the network you have access to and the friends you will make. I advise others to set out what they want from their work experience and talk to their employers to ensure they have the best chance of achieving work related goals.

I think everyone finds the first week challenging and will put most out of their comfort zone but that is why you do it. If you have the right attitude and make the effort your experience on the program will exceed your expectations. In the end I wish I could have stayed longer.

10 week Intern London program

The experience i had in London through The Intern Group was one of the most valuable of my life. The process began slow for me, but once i was on the ground in London i quickly came to realize what a great opportunity i had just undertaken. The quality of the internship itself will vary. That is just the nature of it. I made friends with people who ranged from hating their internship to being indifferent about it to those like myself who loved it and found the job nothing but enjoyable. Given the unlikelihood that you do actually hate it, the staff in London are more than ready to help rectify the situation. The atmosphere with everyone in the program is very laid back, and in downtime on weekends or after work I found myself making lifelong friends with the great people I had the opportunity of living with. the Intern London staff are very welcoming, and Natalie did an impeccable job at organizing meetups and fun activities. Hands down I would do the program again. The internship I had was more than I could have hoped for in terms of work experience and setting myself up for my future after London. I've been back for almost two months and not a day has gone by that I don't miss the friends I made or the city I was privileged to call home for a while.

What would you improve about this program?
Though I had no problems at all, from talking with my friends and peers it seemed like better communication between the Intern London team and the housing company would have benefited those who had issues with their accommodation. Likewise I was aware of communication issues with the companies that some were interning with and the Intern London team. Streamlining of the communication would have made it easier for those having issues to have them resolved.

IT Internship

Completing an Internship overseas experiencing a different culture with different technology is defiantly something I would recommend to others! Great Support! Great Accommodation! Great Atmosphere! Encourages and open mindset and an enjoyable experience!

What would you improve about this program?
Pre Intern Information Delivery. I found that information was delivered too close to the departure date leaving one unsure of safety and reliability of the program. Although once In Hong Kong felt very safe and reassured of the quality of the program and it's features.

Fulfilling experience

I had a truly wonderful and life changing experience in London. I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at a Central London global advisory firm, and it gave me exposure to the field of foreign affairs in a way that I would not have had otherwise. What I appreciate most about the programme was the fact that interns are given the freedom to experience the city on their own terms, while also having scheduled events where they can interact with others. I made many close friends over the course of my stay in London, and looking back I can say with full confidence that taking part in the programme was one of the best decisions I made in both my personal and professional life.
