This was my first major excursion out of the United States. Pairing with the Intern Group was one of the best choices I've made.

The staff is responsive and extremely helpful. They pay attention to your exact needs and help tailor your experience to ensure your growth.

I would recommend this program to anyone interested in working abroad or getting a chance to see an aspect of the world.

Doing an internship with the Intern Group in London has given me a better sense of professional and personal achievement. It has been a very effective way to launch my career, and I've made friends who I know I'll have forever. The program staff have been extremely helpful, (even if I've asked a billion questions about visas,or the TV not working properly) and I'd say that doing this program has definitely broadened my mind. I've learned how to network with contacts, gained valuable experience in my field of choice, and lived in one of the best cities in the world.
The most important thing anyone would be worried about while going abroad is support and help, and Intern London have done an amazing job of providing that. In my opinion, you learn so much more about yourself when you're in a new environment, and this is a great opportunity to do that as well as find where your career interests lie. Thanks guys!

I've spent 8 weeks in London doing an internship. It has been a very positive experience both regarding the job and the people I've met. I had the chance to learn a lot from my working experience and I also helped to organize three events with my managers.
I met a lot of new people coming from different parts of the world and I had a very good time.

I cannot help to think that I was lied to and cheated during my time with The Intern Group. The Intern Group seemingly appeared to be the outlet for myself to get the perfect overall experience abroad. It seemed as though I would be set during my time in London but it was all a facade to take students money and throw them into a foreign country all alone. We were left to survive in a very bad area being verbally harassed multiple times at all hours of the day. This made everyday activities such as going to work and grocery shopping very difficult.

One of the major reasons I decided to go with The Intern Group was the "active community of interns" which would "stay together in premier accommodation". I easily could have found housing and an internship on my own but I wanted the community of interns which I had been told numbers times that we would be living together. I, along with a handful of other interns, were isolated in a threatening area while other interns were placed in a slightly better accommodation as they promised multiple times on their website.

This left me to question where my money went. After asking how much it cost to live in Julian Markham housing in Elephant and Castle, I learned that it is just a fraction of the cost of what I paid The Intern Group. The disparity between the amounts of money that I paid for living accommodations compared to the other intern's accommodation was insurmountable.

I am grateful I thoroughly enjoyed my place of work or else I would have to call legal action against the scam of what is The Intern Group. Although this is what they may call an "experience", it is just a lie to cheat young students of their money. I strongly suggest you save your money and use it towards a legitimate organization such as Dream Careers or just travel on your own.

If you want to explore a new city with new friends and have a fun summer all while building your resume, this is the program for you! I met like minded people who are ambitious and driven like myself, and feel that I grew as a person too. I know people who now work in their field of interest, at the companies they interned for, and even a few who graduated and got jobs with Intern Group. I still keep in touch with friends I've made through the program.

One of my favorite aspects of the program is the weekly speakers.

If you are not a US citizen this program will help set you up with visa's and everything you need to work/live abroad.
If you are a US citizen, I would not suggest going into any sort of debt for this program. It's cheaper to find resume and interview advice online, apply yourself, and find your own housing for the summer.

If your goal is a career changing internship, that's not guaranteed. My advice, don't accept an internship if it is not the dream internship you are willing to pay for. I felt suckered into an internship I was unhappy with in Chicago, and had an unhelpful response when informing the Chicago coordinators. Once they receive your money, I personally feel they make less of an effort, so be confident before you commit to anything.

CHICAGO PROGRAM:
Loyola dorm we stayed in was in an amazing location right in the city with easy access to L/Metro/Subway. Most activities I did with friends I made through the program, there is SO MUCH TO DO IN THE SUMMER THERE... Millenium Park, The Bean, Boat Tours, Movies in Parks, the Beach (there's seriously a beach in the city... you turn around you are surrounded by skyscrapers), Museums, Go to top of Tallest Building - SkyDeck/Sears Tower, Festivals including Taste of Chicago, Pride Parade, and Lollapalooza. I believe the program took us to on a day boat tour, to a horse race, to a baseball game, and gave us a beautiful lake cruise as a final event.

As a student at Aston University, I was required to find work experience and undertake a placement year, as part of my BSc Economics & Management course.

I struggled to find an internship in London as job opportunities have been scarce in the UK. I was fortunate enough to come across The Intern Group and instantly was in love with the idea that I could be working in a dynamic city and in one of Asia's fastest growing financial centre.

Within a matter of a couple of week, The Intern Group were able to arrange an interview for me and provide me with all the help and preparation needed for the interview. After securing the job with a Management Consulting Firm, The Intern Group took immediate steps in helping to secure my visa and planning my accommodation along with other provisions.

During my time in Hong Kong, The Intern Group were pro-active in making sure I had settled, not only into my workplace, but the city itself. There were many social events held where interns, that had come from around the world, could socialise and network. Within no time we had created a great friendship group amongst the members on the programme.

I loved the personalised service that The Intern Group provided. Many recruitment companies that I had looked had simply seemed to place the intern and then you would never get a chance to meet the people who helped place you or run the programme. However at The Intern Group, the Hong Kong Director, was in constant contact with all the interns on a friendly and professional basis and I soon felt The Intern Group was more of a family than just an organisation to me.

My experience in Hong Kong was as perfect as it could be; even though it has been 3 months since I returned to the UK, I am still missing Hong Kong.

I would recommend The Intern Group to anyone looking to gain exeprience abroad as well as enjoy the culture and atmosphere.

I interned at a fashion showroom in Manhattan called Estarise. What a fashion showroom basically is, is the liaison between the designer and buyers of department stores. It was an incredible experience because I was able to work one-on-one with the designers of the 14 ready to wear collections within the showroom. For example the shoe designer Charlene De Luca came in the most and I was able to merchandise her shoe collection for her and present my findings from my market research to her. My main project was to present market research for all 14 ready to wear collections the showroom had. What that meant is that I would research each individual designer researching price point, competition and locations of it sold. Then the best part is that I would go out in the 'field' or locations of it sold, usually barneys, saks, or bergdorfs, and first hand see where the product is, how popular the brand is, more competitors, interview sales associates ect.. Then I consolidated all my findings into one powerpoint per brand and presented it to the owner of the showroom and occasionally a designer.

No day in the showroom was the same, I helped A-List celebrities choose a gown for a gala, helped host a model 'go-see' in the showroom, helped dress models, sat in on buyer/vendor/designer meetings and compiled stockiest through excel.

I chose to work in a showroom because I want to become a buyer for a Big Box retailer so getting my foot in the door could not have been more perfect for me. Ultimately my dream came true, this internship provided me with unforgettable experience enough to receive my dream internship as a buyer/planner for Macys Corporate in NYC.

Aside from my internship, Intern Group hosted so many great events in NYC. Even though I am from New Jersey I was a little nervous of being in NYC alone but the first day they give you a metro card and directions on how to get to work by using the subway. The location of the NYU dorms in Union Square is often called the heart of NYC because there is just so much culture and liveliness there. In addition Intern Group hosts so many events to help experience all NYC has to offer. For example, we rode double decker tour buses around the city, went to the hard rock hotel to eat in times square, went to a broadway show, a yankees game and much more. They also host excursions on the weekend such as going to smorgasbord (an amazing food festival) in brooklyn, walking the brooklyn bridge, going to cony island and such. In addition, at least every week was an inspirational speaker.

The Intern Group is a great organisation which is well organised. Socially it was great! I had already graduated so was glad when I arrived in October and found that most of the other interns were also in their early 20s rather than undergrads (which I was told normally come in the summer months). My only disappointment was my intern company which was just a start up company and so the amount and quality of work they had for me was not what I expected. Other than that, I had a great 10 weeks.

This was the first summer I was spending in a different state all by myself, and not only was it different but it was a state I had never been to. My thought on doing this program was I needed an internship before I graduated. My thought at the end of this program was I can't imagine my life without this experience. I never imagined getting as much out of this program as I did. Not only did I have a fantastic internship with some great hands-on experience in the field I love, but I also met life-long friends. I still keep in touch with them to this day. Intern Group also planned activities throughout the weeks, which helped me explore the city safely with friends since I didn't know my way around. They also had inspiring speakers come in once a week and talk to us. I really can't imagine a better way to spend your summer away from home. It is a great way for you to take that chance and step out of your comfort zone.

It would be nothing short of an understatement to say that Intern Group changed my life. The level of growth I experienced was unprecedented; the level of experience I gained is unparallaed.

I completed my internship on Wall Street, New York. It was a Marketing internship. The company who I worked for were always eager to give me challenging tasks in an attempt to push me to my limits. This was certainly the case and as a result I have seen a definite change in my ability within a working environment. I met a tremendous amount of influential, charismatic people whilst in New York, and have come away with some life-long friends. While that may sound rather cliche, I have strong evidence, in that one of the people I met, a South Carolina native, is coming to see me over New Years for a period of two weeks. As well as this, I often Skype with friends that I made from places such as Spain, Switzerland, Australia, China, Brazil and back home, in the United Kingdom. Intern Group is definitely a unique answer when people question me how I became friends with such people and it is hard to imagine how else we would have had an opportunity to meet each other, had we not completed the Intern Group Program.

I can't do the staff members justice; each and every one of them was incredible. They all possessed a ridiculous work ethic, which meant that they went to all lengths to not satisfy, but delight the needs of each and every intern. There would be occasions when a staff member would arrange something out of the blue (completely free of charge) for everybody else to enjoy. Whether it's touring the Brooklyn Bridge, going to Staten Island, going to the Statue of Liberty of arranging a FIFA tournament, the staff members really exhausted every potential activity there is to do in New York, and I need not tell you how much there is to do in New York. Another undoubtable benefit of the Program Staff Members is their extensive business networks; this is very helpful as it helps each intern extend their own personal networks via events.

I really can't stress the importance of doing an internship in the modern era; we live in an incredibly competitive working environment. Having an incredible internship which only Intern Group can offer will really benefit anybody to stand out from the competition, when applying for jobs. I currently have a lucrative job with IBM and it is truly hard to imagine how I would be in this privileged position had I not done my Intern Group internship. I remember my job interview consisted mostly of talking about Intern Group and the benefits of the program, and how said benefits made me an ideal applicant for the role that I am now in.

Aside from the professional and social benefits which I have discussed, Intern Group also gave me a lot of other opportunities. Being in New York, one of the fashion capitals of the world, I was lucky to be scouted for a modelling contract. As a result I now have modelling contracts in New York and London. I know that other interns landed themselves in similar situations just from being in the right place at the right time. Furthermore, if you choose to give Intern Group the right to offer you the experiences and memories of a lifetime, then there are also other benefits. One of the main ones is that just because you have secured an internship in New York (or anywhere else for that matter) does not mean that you cannot in your free time look for future job opportunities. New York is a city of opportunities, but don't just take my word for it. Experience it for yourself! Dream bigger and challenge yourself. If you want to achieve your career goals then go to Intern Group to make this a reality. I do not speak for myself when I say that after completing my Intern Group internship from June - August I may never have a better Summer in my life.
