I can’t thank Dan enough for his help. I knew that I wanted to work in China, but had no idea what kinds of teaching jobs I was qualified for here. Dan is really knowledgeable about the Chinese education market, and after touching base for the first time was able to connect me with a company that runs training centres. Thanks to Dan's advice and support, I had a really positive interview experience with the company, who in turn were very professional. Dan walked me through every stage of the visa process and was really involved throughout.
Dan regularly collects testimonies from existing teachers on the companies they work for, and therefore was confident I would have a positive experience with the company I'm now employed by, which I have! They offer amazing onboarding support (helping me find a flat, dealing with upfront costs, paying for a hotel for the first few days etc.), comprehensive teacher training, and a flexible schedule.
Beijing is dynamic and really safe. I can't really speak to the social scene here yet as I'm a relatively new arrival, but I'm hopeful of a great social life once I get settled.
I would thoroughly recommend Teach English Global if you're interested in teaching abroad or living in China specifically, or a combination of the two!
