Good communication and smooth visa.

I was connected to a Chinese agency and provided with all the documents needed to get the Z-visa in my home country. Once in China the company helped me prepare for interviews, do demos and meet other new teachers who were training. All questions were answered by Dan before leaving and then by people in SIE when I arrived in China. They gave me a few days to relax upon arriving and then I was quickly taken to do a medical, get a SIM card, open a bank and meet people at the main headquarters. The experience was great for a person going to teach in China for the first time!

Pros
  • Quick visa
  • Lots of communication on Skype/Ding Talk/Wechat
  • very transparent
Cons
  • Linked to another agency instead of directly to a school

Great city + nice company to work for

Shanghai is a great city with lots to do and the people are very friendly. It is very safe, especially for women and the benefits for people working for this company are great. If you are into more hardcore clubbing/nightlife I would say perhaps China in general isn’t for you, but otherwise there are fun activities that cater to pretty much all interests. Dan was also very helpful with everything before coming out here and made the visa process very smooth— any queries or doubts I had were resolved quickly.

Definitely recommend Teach English Global.

Teach English Global was very helpful with finding me a place to work in China. Dan noted all my interests and found a school that was suitable for me very quickly, even with my limited teaching experience. Dan has previously worked in China, so he understands the process of working in China well. He helped me prepare for all the steps leading into China. The process of finding teaching work in China is definitely easier with Teach English Global, and I would recommend them if you are considering teaching in China.

Moving to teach in China

I have always had a dream to go to China. To make this dream into reality I took on a 3 year degree at the open university. After completing this I found Teach English Global and Dan has been a great support from the start . I have received support from SIE when arriving in China with local logistics I needed to have and training support . I’m looking forward to my teaching in Guangzhou in the next couple of weeks

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Leaving my family even at the airport but I had to think I have to do this for me there’s always chance to come back on vacation and completion of contract
Pros
  • Great support
  • Exciting culture and scenery
  • People are nice here
Cons
  • Language barrier
  • Cultural and political differences
  • Sometimes the heat

TEFL in Shanghai

Dan was amazing from the off and provided us with consistent support throughout the process. He helped us to find a school and organised all of the interviews for us. The process of getting our documentation together was pretty smooth sailing and Dan was on hand throughout to support. Even now that we are out in Shanghai Dan has checked in to ensure we have settled well. Shanghai is a really cool city and I am very happy with the school Dan supported us in corresponding with. I would recommend working with Dan/Teach English Global to secure a position.

Pros
  • Fun
  • Good Salary
  • Good Support

Very good company to help you get to China

Dan has been amazing from start to finish in this tough climate, from finding a suitable job placement in China to getting the visa. Each step of the way was well explained and clearly described to me. He has kept up to date with all the latest arbitrary Chinese government regulations and rule changes which is near impossible to do and I commend his perseverance. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to go to China for work. I wish him and his company the best going forward.

Cheers Dan

No question, choose Dan and TEG

Dan at TEG is tenacious! Covid has been a difficult time for those wanting to enter the world of TEFL but he has taken it all in his stride and provided us with ample opportunities for employment within China. Its worth noting we were complete novices in regards to TEFL. Dan has responded to so many questions and worries, he has previous experience of living and working within China as well as the recruiting side so he is able to answer questions based on judgment and not guess work.

He has been constantly at work behind the scenes keeping our dream alive and has proved extremely flexible with his ability to handle each new wave of restrictions. He has always been availible whenever we had doubts or questions. Dan has been the perfect helping hand into the scary and confusing world of TEFL.

Cheers

Highly Recommend

If you’re looking to teach in China, Teach English Global is the way to go! They stood out from other recruitment companies in their dedication to find a school that had a mutual fit. Dan was really insightful and gave me advice about choosing the right city in China and the perks of each job. Within a week, I had interviewed and received an offer from a great school in Beijing. Following that, Dan was such a great help, guiding me through the complex visa application process and making sure that I had all the proper documentation needed.

10/10, would recommend!

Trustworthy and helpful

I'm near the end of the application process and will be heading to China soon. Dan has been extremely helpful throughout. It was overwhelming at first sifting through the hundreds of jobs. Luckily, I found Teach English Global quite early on who made the process as simple as it could be. When I first spoke to Dan he asked what sort of job I was looking for and quickly found a school that matched my needs. Within a week I had an interview. During the visa process Dan was attentive and responsive to any queries I had and was a reassuring presence throughout, giving me lots of advice and help.

I would recommend anyone who is looking for work abroad to go through Teach English Global.

Nothing but perfection

After months of research and trying to find reputable schools an agencies in China, I was lucky enough to have Dan at Teach English Global get in touch. I was looking for a job for six months into the future at the time, so Dan ensured me that he'd make contact with me closer to my intended departure month.

After we made contact again, Dan set me up with a job at a school in Beijing which ticked all of the boxes (location, salary, company, benefits etc.). He's always only a message away, and super helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process! If you want transparency, professionalism, and an all round high quality experience, get in touch with this company and land your dream job.
