When I decided I wanted to move to China and teach, Ila at Teaching Nomad was amazing! She helped guide me in every step of the way. She was friendly, answered my questions very quickly, and provided great support during the process which can be difficult when deciding which option is best for you! She really took the time to get to know my background as best as possible in order to get me great job offers that were best for me! I am excited for this next chapter and I would not have been able to do it without the help of Ila and Teaching Nomad!

I have had the chance to work with Teaching Nomad to find my overseas job for this coming school year. Dylan gave me great support both before and after I was hired by the school I applied to. I highly recommend Teaching Nomad to anyone interested in teaching abroad. Some months ago, I posted my resume on Dave's ESL Cafe. This August I will be taking off for my first English teaching job in Xinghua, Jiangsu in eastern China. After entertaining several offers, I know this job is the best one among the bunch. I had a very good experience with the TEFL course in Shanghai. The instructors are professionals and can help you in any kind of situations. It is a good thing that there are 3 different instructors. You can gain different skills from each of them and they are all very different to each other in the way of teaching. It was a lot of fun my 5 weeks here in Shanghai and I would totally recommend this course to everyone who wants to do the TEFL course in the most professional way possible. You`ll get a lot of teaching practice!

I came into the program with little to no teaching experience and was very nervous due to it but the teachers and trainers in the course helped me get over all of it and feel much more comfortable in my role as a new teacher. The experience I got during the course is invaluable to me and the satisfaction I got from teaching was greater than I thought possible. The program and its members are all among the friendliest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure of learning from. They all have such different teaching methods that it becomes easy to craft your own from their advice and insight. The community outreach program, Stepping Stones, helped me to improve my own teaching ability and I have a great sense of joy from being able to teach such excited students as I met there. It is definitely worth the trip and I will carry the lessons I learned here forward to wherever I go.

After 7 years at my previous job, I wanted a change in my life. Since teaching always interested me, I decided to give it a go and signed up for the teaching nomad TEFL course and since I started this course, I haven't regretted it a single bit.
The content of the course was mainly focused on the practical side of teaching. One thing I enjoyed the most is the fact that my classmates and I got to experience different types of students and teaching situations. We went teaching in public schools, training centers and even had one on ones. This really helped me decide which teaching directions I felt most comfortable with so I could go on an plan my career.

I turned to Teaching Nomad at a time when I needed to move forward in my career. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Within a couple days of completing the basics of my online profile, I was contacted by Mary Long from Teaching Nomad's Denver Colorado offices. What resonated with me in my introductory interview with Mary was her professionalism and willingness to listen. Within a little over a week of that conversation, I understood that Mary really heard me and knew what I was looking for. She connected me with quality teaching organisations in China and the interviews began.

Interviewing can be daunting and filled with the unexpected, but in addition to preparing myself, Mary provided me with some great tips and was always available to Skype with me and follow up with any questions or concerns I had by email. I enjoyed my interviews and I am thankful to say, I have recently accepted a teaching position in Beijing with a great company.

Mary, you remained consistent in this process and I thank you very much for the high level of service and attention to details. You represented Teaching Nomad with a spirit of excellence that I will always remember. I had the pleasure of working with Mary Long of Teaching Nomad, who help me get placed with pretty much an ideal teaching position for me in China. I would almost never go out of my way to write a review, but Mary displayed a level of professionalism that I had to commend. She was informative, well-spoken, and super quick in responding to emails seven days a week. I have no idea how she does it. Also, she was courteous and encouraging in this often-times-pretty-grueling process of going overseas.

To give some background, I've worked in the financial sector since graduation and have had little professional teaching experience; certainly not much in a traditional classroom setting. I wanted to try something new.
