With nothing more than a TEFL certificate and a rough idea of where I wanted to go, moving to Korea seemed like an entire world away when I first contacted Alistair - but I'm now typing from my apartment in Daegu, after a weekend of exploring the city.

From the get-go, Alistair was professional, reliable and, most importantly for me, realistic. He was able to answer any questions I had, offer me advice and direction, and was crucial for such a daunting application process. When my application got deferred due to Covid19, Alistair kept in touch and kept the ball rolling for me, alleviating a lot of the stress that could have come from it.

He guides you through the application process, from lesson planning to interviewing, which was super helpful for me. He's incredibly thorough, and makes sure that you're at your best when you finally come face to face with EPIK.

I wholeheartedly believe that Korean Horizons are the best recruiter for EPIK. I have zero regrets about using their service, and I highly doubt any future applicants would either. Go for it!

If you're bad at admin (like I am) and want to teach abroad but have no idea what documents you need/where to start applying/when the deadlines are etc Alistair will REALLY walk you through every step of the process. He'll give you a timeline, what docs you need, which companies you need to get your docs certified in your country and help with your submissions, interview and any other questions.
I'm the kind of person who doesn't like bothering people if I think it's unnecessary but Alistair continuously reached out to me first to ensure I was okay at every stage of the process. You could do all the hard work on finding out what you need and submitting it on your own but honestly why would you want to? He'll find everything you need, saving you SO much hassle and you'll be able to interact with other people also in the same program so you're never alone.

Right from the start of my application to KH to now being in Korea teaching with EPIK, Alistair from KH has been an incredible support system, without whom I don’t know if I would have actually made it to Korea. His help and guidance throughout the entire EPIK application process has been invaluable and has made this difficult process so much easier! He constantly keeps you updated and replies so quickly I don’t actually think he sleeps! Apply through Korean Horizons-it’s 100% the right decision

Choosing to go through Korean Horizons was the best decision. Alistair made the whole scary process of applying to EPIK, and moving to South Korea a breeze. Even if I had a million questions, Alistair always answered them right away. I think the most useful aspect of the process was the help is given with the necessary documentation for the application and visa. Additionally, I was truly grateful for the interview preparation. I have nothing but excellent things to say about the company and of all the teachers I know that went through Korean Horizons, they are all extremely satisfied.

Korean Horizons was really on the ball with everything, making sure that we had documents collected and sorted well in advance. The whole process was really well organised and well communicated and Alistair worked hard to make sure that I had a placement.
We were always kept updated on news relating to our applications and the EPIK process via email and a Facebook group, which was really handy.
I would definitely recommend Korean Horizons to people who want to come and work in Korea, especially those who may not know where to start.

Trying to move to a new country is hard enough, throwing a global pandemic into the mix just makes it a special kind of hellish. But Alistair truly made what could have been months of stress and anxiety into a process that felt almost too good to be true.

Alistair will let you know exactly what you need to do, and when you need to do it by. Between him and the Korean Horizons Facebook group you just cant go wrong, but if you still have questions, Alistair will answer them super quick! (I feel like that man never sleeps!)

And the support doesn’t end once you get here. Even during our quarantine period, Alistair made sure to check in with us and even ordered necessities to our hotel rooms to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a level of care and attentiveness I didn’t expect at all and I appreciate it so much!

In 2019 I had made the decision to leave my county and go teach English in South Korea. After doing extensive research, I understood why Korean Horizons was the best option for me. I immediately went on the website filled in an application form and the recruiter, Alistair Wery contacted me. With the state of everything after COVID, Alistair made what should have been a nightmarish process feel like a breeze. My questions were always answered promptly and there was amazing support throughout the entire application process as well as visa, travel and quarantine advice/information.

I found Korean Horizon through my TEFL/TESOL program. They first had an informal interview to see if I was a good candidate for them. After being accepted they made sure I understood and received all the documents required for application in the EPIK program. They also made sure I was well informed about any requirements and documents needed to travel to South Korea as a teacher.
