Intro Japan Visit was the best!

First, itinerary was great. In just 13 days, we got a taste of several key cities and a few nights in beautiful mountain towns. Tokyo was electrical, Nagano totally chill, and Kyoto just right. I don’t know enough about Japan do suggest other places, although it might have been fun to extend the trip by a couple days to pick up a beach.

Second, we had a terrific leader. Yoni took care of us on our tours, and gave great tips for our open days, when we went off on our own.

Best of all, I loved our group. 12 interesting people from pretty different backgrounds not only got along from the start, but we became pretty good friends

Pros
  • Yoni as leader
  • Great vegan restaurants when we found them
  • Snow monkeys in Nagano
Cons
  • Sweltering August heat and humidity during day, but ok nights
  • One-day typhoon lockdown
  • You have to look harder for veggie food

15 Day Experience

My first time to south east Asia and I couldn’t have had a better time! Thoroughly enjoyed every day on the experience tour. A good mix of activities like hiking, more wholesome ones like tea parties and lantern making and fun nights out. Our group bonded super quick and whilst we are all girls from uk/Ireland we all had very different personalities and interests and the mix of activities was great as there was something for everyone! So glad I did a tour as I wouldn’t have done as many activities in those 2 weeks without! The itenerary is super busy at times with quite a bit of travelling (6 hour bus to sapa and back) but it’s worth it and our leader Adam Donovan made a point of giving time to us to rest or have time to ourselves or just do our own thing.
The only activity I didn’t partake in was catfish fishing, it’s just not for me but I was more than happy to watch the others and take photos for them. I didn’t feel left out or like I was missing out by not doing it.
I packed really lightly (glad I did as I ended up buying clothes in Mr axe’s and the markets) and was relying on washing my clothes once in the country and was able to get a wash done in sapa and hoi an. Unfortunately my clothes weren’t washed well in hoi and one item came back ripped but I would just not use that hotels laundry service again.
I got 2 outfits made in Mr Xe’s that came to $170 (us) so if you’re budgeting I’d just recommend allocating some money for that.
Adam was super helpful and has the patience of a saint (we must have asked him the same questions several times every day). His love for Vietnam was obvious and he was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for everyone on the group in regards to onwards travel.
Felt super comfortable and safe the whole time and this has given me more confidence to spend a couple more weeks in Vietnam solo :))

Great experience!! Highly recommend

Great way to visit Mexico for the first time. Tour enables to see a lot of Mexico in a short span with a good balance of city / monuments / temples visits as some activities with locals and more fun activities (boat tours, free time in hotels with pools etc). This was my first organised trip and everything went really well. Even when unforeseen events happened on the tour (e.g. local strike blocking some roads etc) the group leader reacted quickly and managed to keep the tour on track! Organisation has been top notch and the tour leader & local Mexican guide have been tremendously helpful and friendly.

Loved this experience

We had a wonderful time with Intro in Mexico. We went the 4th of July 2023. It was rziny season, vut the only rain we got was in the van or when we were just inside. I could not have done this on my own because i would not have stopped at San Cristobal de las casas and Zinacantán. We saw beautiful cities and towns, the real mexican culture and ofcourse the absolute musts like Chichen Itza. The guide was very good and nice, you could ask everything! Very helpful to solve any problems. Would definitely recommend!!

Pros
  • All the way from Mexico City to Playa del Carmen
  • Very nice guide!
  • Great stops at beautiful towns/cities
Cons
  • Lot of van time (which was necessary to do the distance we did)

Viva Mexico!

Amazing tour if you want a taste of all that Mexico has to offer. That means some spending some time on a van (and sometimes rocky, windy roads), but so worth it! Great city tours in Mexico City and Oaxaca, amazing activities (boat tours, lagoons, local family visits, Mayan sites, Chichen Itza, pool time…). Comfortable accommodation during the entire trip. Very helpful tour guides that really made the trip extra special and gave great insights in the Mexican cuisine, history and culture. Would highly recommend!

Pros
  • Lots of fun and interesting activities
  • Comfortable accommodation
  • Very helpful and insightful tour guides
Cons
  • Sometimes too little time in certain places

Brilliant Showcase of Mexico

The IntroTravel Mexico trip is a great way to sample areas in Mexico other than Cancun and Mexico City. Every place we visited was extremely unique and exciting and the food was next level. Ethan (group leader) did an excellent job in making sure we had the best time . Our driver Jose and guide JP were both extremely friendly and passionate about their jobs. Our accommodation ranged from standard hotels to beautiful lagoon resorts. Every place was clean and tidy. At all times we felt safe and well looked after. If you are after a trip that showcases the beautiful side of Mexico, look no further.

Pros
  • Food
  • Locations
  • Group leader/company
Cons
  • Quite a bit of driving

Vietnam 12 day Intro Tour

This tour was amazing, it gave you a good impression of the country whilst also giving you reasons to revisit. The activities were diverse and varied from very active cycling/hiking to more chilled out crafting/cooking. Every experience was unique and the itinary very full on, i would say you need a relatively good level of fitness/health to experience it fully. It is not a chilled out holiday but if you are seeking immersion and opportunities to make memories and do unique things then it ticks all the boxes.

Adam was our tour leader, he has a clear passion for the country that was great to see, he was supportive and patient, especially when i lost my phone after falling into a bush! He went out of his way to make sure i got it back. He went above and beyond making sure we were safe and comfortable with everything and his passion for supporting local people really stood out for me.

It was an incredible experience i would definitely recommend to adventurers and culture seekers alike.

Pros
  • Diverse range of activities
  • Fully organized
  • Great mix of culture/history
Cons
  • Very packed itinary
  • Some activities are challenging depending on your abilities
  • Not enough time in some of the locations

The trip that has it all

14 strangers walk in to a hostel in Tokyo...sounds like the start to a terrible joke, right? Well, it's actually that start of a one of the most memorable stories I'm never going to get sick of telling.

This story starts out with city skylines, peaceful parks and karaoke chaos (all in the first few days!!). We are then treated to serene settings in the mountains where the only worry is if you'll be lucky enough to catch a glimps of the snow monkeys. At this stage, 14 strangers are now creating close friendships, which is helpful when you're sharing an onsen together. Half way through this story, you could be fooled by thinking its reaching its peak when you get sight of the top of Mt.Fuji but you're destined for higher things! It's plain sailing through to the best bbq and most quiant castle you could ask for. We've now matured from monkeying around in the hills at the beginning of our trip (who'd have thought?) to meditating like monks. Being blessed with bamboo surroundings and then gazing at the golden pavilion seem like something other worldly, yet there we were. And what a way to end this story than with special samurai session where you have to completely trust your new friends to hit the target and nothing in-between.

So, if you're looking for a sign to book the intro Japan trip, this is it. Your story might start off a little different to mine but by the end I'm sure you'll go home with a smile on your face, friends and memories you'll cherish for a lifetime. And, if you're lucky enough to get Michelle or Yoni as your leader you're in for an extra special story!

Lifetime experience

This tour is the best mix of culture and different activities! We visited touristic places like Seminyak or Ubud, but also less crowded north of Bali. We could relax on a beach or at the pool, do shopping or climb the Batur mountain, bicycle or snorkel. Our group leader Hendri did an amazing job: everything was very well organised, went smoothly, I felt well informed all the time! We had a lot of fun with my group and Hendri! I definitely will remember this trip forever and highly recommend it to everyone, who likes to explore new places!

Pros
  • Well organised, no worries
  • Mix of history + activities
  • Great group leader

Amazing!

I just got back from the Intro Mexico trip and it was incredible! It's amazing how many different places and activies we were able to experience in such a short time, and because everything was so well organised it never felt rushed. I think there was a great balance between free time to explore or chill and planned activities. My favourite activities were making (and eating) a traditional breakfast with a local Mayan family and swimming in a cenote (there were even ziplines into the water!) because they were so unique. Both my Intro group leader Ethan and local guide Dario were amazing and went above and beyond for everyone in the group. Thank you so much for an amazing time!

Pros
  • Fun and unique experiences
  • Amazing group leaders
  • Very well organised
