About Program

Attention university and college professors and study abroad advisers. We design, develop and host short term faculty led and customised university and college educational tours in Australia. These are led by a dedicated program leader and cover a wide range of academic teaching, field studies, site visits and special industry presentations. Every program includes a range of local tourism and adventure activities. Length usually 2-4 weeks (maximum 12 weeks).
Combos are also arranged for the group to 'cross the ditch' and visit New Zealand to carry out a comparative study. Our most popular programs in this area are in agriculture, business innovation, environmental, marine and cross-cultural studies including culture and heritage.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Institute of Global Engagement New Zealand for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.

Once in a life time experience

It was amazing. We saw a lot of country side, talked with locals, learned a ton. I would hands down repeat this trip if I could. Shout out to Murray our bus driver! He was awesome! And all our amazing hosts! Looking back, I don’t know how we were able to see two countries and nearly every region of eastern Australia in just 19 days, but we did. Amazingly, it still felt like we had an adequate amount of time in each location. The worst part of the trip was leaving. Admittedly, the hostel in Cairns was a close second, but the Great Barrier Reef made up for the extremely cramped rooms we were in. Other than that, everything was perfect!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Take pictures, and take the time to journal. Finish your journal before you leave otherwise you won’t complete it. If you journal everyday, you’ll be amazed at the small details that get lost in the big picture over time.

WTAMU Ag in Australia

We had a wonderful experience with IGENZ in Australia and New Zealand in May 2019. Our Study Abroad group focused on agriculture, and we were very pleased with our experience.

IGENZ provided flawless logistics, travel arrangements, timely stops, and just-right accommodations and food. Their expertise in travel management allowed our students to fully focus on our learning objectives.

We also fully appreciate that IGENZ is focused on education. They understood our educational objectives and provided experiences that exceeded our expectations.

Finally, Laurel, Susie and Jan were delightful to work and travel with - they understand students and kept the entire experience enjoyable and fun. We are planning additional trips with IGENZ as soon as we can travel again!

What would you improve about this program?
We learned that we can trust Jan to design outstanding educational experiences. In the future, we will allow IGENZ more flexibility in desiging activities and stops rather than attempting to predetermine what we wish to do.
