About Program
Spend a semester in Belgium at KU Leuven, a world-renowned research university located in one of Europe’s most charming and historic student cities. Through the Research Study Abroad Program, students participate in a professional academic research project while immersing themselves in Belgian culture, language, and daily life. KU Leuven is one of 11 leading research institutions in Europe participating in this unique program.
Research opportunities are available across a wide range of disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, biological sciences, physical sciences, and engineering. Undergraduate research experience provides valuable academic and professional skills while helping students stand out for graduate school or research-focused careers. Participants become active members of their research teams and can choose between two program options, each worth 30 ECTS credits (equivalent to 15 U.S. semester credits).
