Price Details
AIFS is a premier provider of study abroad programs. Comprehensive fees cover tuition and housing, and over 50% of our study abroad participants receive financial support from AIFS in the form of scholarships or grants. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance, and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Coordinated AIFS Flight Packages are available.

About Program

Earn 3 semester credits during a 2-week January term program at Veritas University in San José, Costa Rica. Choose to study either a history course, Costa Rican Health Care System and Tropical Medicine, or a social science course, Conflict Resolution and Health Care. Both courses are taught in English.

Live in a homestay within walking distance of Veritas University. Immerse yourself in Tica culture and Spanish language. Breakfast and dinner, a weekly laundry wash and internet access are included.

Cultural activities are included such as a tour of the National Theater, walking tours of areas of cultural interest, and a visit to the indoor markets to explore Costa Rican food and produce. An optional, 3-day excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park is also offered.
