About Program
Through field experiences and classes (at the University of Cambridge) this program addresses ways to sustain People, Planet, and Profit by growing better businesses and improving social well-being through partnerships with natural areas. We focus on the business of nature: what is the value of natural capital (national parks, protected landscapes, and related ecosystem services) and how does local business (such as the whisky industry and highland estates) add value to regional communities through a corporate social responsibility? Accordingly, we visit some of the UK’s most prestigious and beautiful landscapes including the Lake District, Mendip Hills, and Snowdonia National Park. But, we also spend time in the cities of Cambridge and London to understand how the UK is responding politically, culturally, and economically to the globe’s greatest challenges.
