CIEE College Study Abroad in Paris, France

I greatly enjoyed the program overall. I did the 3 week J-term program, and studied Business of Fashion in Paris. The instructor discussed luxury fashion through a Parisian perspective, which I loved - I didn't come here to learn the American perspective! We visited many galleries and the learning experience was hands on.

As for the program itself, I was satisfied. My only complaint was the distance of the housing, as my commute to downtown was around 30 minutes and discouraged going out to explore to a degree. However, I am aware that this program is shorter so maybe they did this for that reason, and the semester students have closer housing. Housing was clean and safe overall.

This was a unique experience that allowed students to learn in and outside the classroom. With great staff and a beautiful city this program was perfect. I stayed here for 18 weeks and was able to travel around much of Europe with ease and comfort because of the many CIEE locations who help students from other campuses as well. The classes were fun and informative and deepened my understanding of French and European history and culture. The many trips and activity planned by the staff are a great way to immerse oneself in the local culture.

Studying abroad in Paris was an unforgettable experience! The city's rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture made it a dream destination. I immersed myself in French language classes, which greatly improved my fluency. Exploring iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum was awe-inspiring. The local cuisine, from croissants to escargot, delighted my taste buds. Making friends with fellow students from around the world added a global perspective to my education. Weekend trips to nearby cities allowed me to delve into Europe's diverse tapestry. The only challenge was adapting to a new environment, but it fostered personal growth and resilience. Overall, my study abroad journey in Paris was life-changing and expanded my horizons in ways I couldn't have imagined. I'll cherish these memories forever!

I took the course offered at IRCAM through CIEE and it was nothing short of incredible. What stood out to me was how accessible a world-renowned institution was for international students, and how simple it was to apply for such a transformative artistic experience. As creators, artists, and musicians, we are always searching for the next thing to excite our ambitions and inspire us to push the bounds of creation. If you are a musician looking to expand your horizons (especially in the electronic music realm) this program will impact you infinitely. The course instructor is patient, eager to help, and empathic. I was afraid to take this course as it seemed out of my bounds of possibility/too advanced, but he made me feel comfortable in the learning process and hopeful. The weekend trips were absolutely transformative, I don't think I will ever stop talking about the grandiosity of the Cyclops and the beauty of Château de Fontainebleau.

It is a unique experience! I would say it is an adventure in Pairs. The schedule is intensive, but the experience is fantastic! You can enjoy the artistic environment in Pairs with your hard study simultaneously! The exhibition and countless concerts could inspire you out of your beyond! You could meet a lot of amazing artists in the street and start your casual talk. The surprise could happen here or there. Also, the architecture and historical palaces would deserve you to tour many times. You could blend in Paris quickly even it was only one month of study.

I studied abroad in Paris, France. My study abroad experience was definitely the best four months of my life thus far! Being able to be so independent in such a great city as Paris and travel all around Europe was a life-changing experience. Living in Paris has always been a dream of mine and I am so happy that I got to experience it. I definitely recommend studying abroad if you can! I met so many students who attend the same university as me in the US who I never would have met if I hadn't studied abroad!

This January term program was intensive, and I learned so much in such a short time. It was a fun atmosphere that let me explore Paris! I enjoyed the accessibility of the metro and buses using the pass. I wish CIEE had bought the weeks for us because we paid a lot fo the trip, but I appreciate the program giving us the passes at the start. The housing was convenient, but we were split up among 3 apartments, and I wish we were all in one so we could all make connections! I enjoyed the small class size to get to know friends in class. The experiences in class were amazing and the field studies were impactful

A amazing experience to get out of your comfort zone and explore France and the history and culture of it. You are able to learn about different types of food and stories of Paris. As well as learning about the metro system and how to navigate public transportation to get just about anywhere. Paris is also great location to be going and coming from different places in europe the transportation is easy going and gets you to where you need to be. Taking weekend trips is also the way to go in order to explore more of Europe.
