About Program

Paris College of Art (PCA) is a premier art and design school rooted in the rich artistic landscape of Paris. For over 30 years, the school has offered visiting and degree seeking students the opportunity to engage with the Parisian art scene while developing their portfolios under the guidance of industry professionals. Courses are taught in English by a world class faculty, and PCA serves an international student body representing over 50 nationalities. The campus enrolls approximately 250 students and features exceptional studio facilities.

Since becoming a fully independent degree granting institution in 2010, PCA has moved into a refurbished historic building in the culturally rich 10th arrondissement, a neighborhood filled with art studios, textile shops, creative agencies, and cafés.

Summer and semester programs are available.

An Experience I Will Never Forgt

Thanks to SAI, I got an experience I will never forget. Between being there for every step of applying to the program, getting proper papers, and settling us into our host city, I felt safe and welcomed every step of the way. While studying at PCA, SAI made it a priority to be there for us. They helped us study practical French, provided resources for medical help, and set up events for us to learn more about the French culture and meet other SAI students. Thanks to SAI and the on-site staff in Paris, I got more out of my semester than I ever expected! I solo-traveled for the first time, made amazing friends, and even had some experiences that I can add to my resume and will help me greatly in my future endeavors.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
To everyone who is nervous about traveling, dont let your fear stop you from taking the leap. Say yes to things; you never know who you will meet or what you will find out about yourself!

Amazing first international experience!

This was my first international experience. Once my plane landed at CDG, SAI was there every step of the way to help me adjust into my new home! I was initially really worried about learning RATP (public transport) but it was a piece of cake. The metro and buses helped to develop my independence and encourage me to discover different parts of the city. SAI also offered some great VIVA experiences like Fontainebleau (beautiful!!). There is no language requirement but I was able to use some of the French I had learned over the years with neighbors, employees, and a friend at the local boulangerie! Can't wait to go back to Paris someday.

Pros
  • VIVA Experiences
  • Amazing apartment locations
  • Immersion
