Ashoka's liberal arts foundation and its exuberant student body are some of its biggest strengths. Taking courses across disciplines has allowed me to build range and solve problems in new ways. This, combined with the individuals I've met in my time here, has created an environment where there's space to build things and actually see them through.
I spent a semester abroad at Columbia University and was able to make the most of the experience thanks to the foundation I'd built at Ashoka University.

Overall, it was a really positive and enriching experience. The programme was well-structured, engaging, and provided a great opportunity to learn something new. I enjoyed the sessions, interactions, and overall environment, and found the experience both interesting and worthwhile. It was a great way to gain new perspectives, build knowledge, and connect with others. I’m glad I had the opportunity to be part of the programme and would definitely recommend it to others. Truly a memorable experience!

I have loved studying at Ashoka, and there's truly no place like it in India. The academic side is great-- each of my professors is a treasure trove of knowledge and expertise who I feel so fortunate to be learning from. The fact that I get to design my own academic trajectory is great because I've been able to customize my electives to my own interests while also broadening my horizons overall.

Apart from the academic side of it, Ashoka's campus is beautiful. It's a second home to me. I love the grounds, the library, the mess-- all of it. And of course, the friends I've made here, they'll last a lifetime.

Having studied at Ashoka and Sciences Po, Paris, I am strengthened in my belief that Ashoka has an exceptionally distinguished Faculty, comparable to all global universities, especially in the field of International Relations. The IR courses at Ashoka are rigorous and rewarding, with course material that challenges students and allows them to continuously build up their knowledge, analytical and research skills. Further, the professors are extremely approachable and have very well-structured courses, reflecting perspectives in both contemporary and core IR theories, discussions, etc.

When I joined Ashoka, I was convinced that psychology was the field for me. However, after taking biology courses here, I fell in love with the subject. The passion and enthusiasm with which my professors taught completely changed the way I thought about science and inspired me to switch my major to biology.

What makes Ashoka special is that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Through clubs, events, and interactions with people from diverse backgrounds, I have grown in ways that are not purely academic. There is always something happening on campus—whether it is a club event, a performance, or a discussion. Some of my favorite memories are grabbing a coffee from Fuel Zone and walking around the mess lawns with friends, stumbling upon whatever activity is taking place that day.

Academically, Ashoka encourages curiosity and exploration, and that freedom allowed me to discover a passion I never expected to have. Looking back, my time here has shaped not only my academic interests but also the person I am becoming.

Choosing Ashoka University for my undergraduate degree has turned out to be one of the better decisions I've made, and looking back over the past two years, it feels like the kind of place that shapes how you think rather than just what you know. What strikes me most is the sheer intellectual energy on campus. Walking into a classroom here rarely feels routine, because the liberal arts structure means the person sitting next to you in a psychology seminar might be majoring in economics or physics, and that mix of perspectives makes even familiar topics feel fresh. The faculty deserve real credit for this atmosphere. Many of them have built careers at leading research institutions abroad, yet they treat undergraduate mentorship as a genuine priority rather than an afterthought, and that openness has let me get involved in lab work and research assistantships far earlier than I expected. There's something special about being able to walk into a professor's office hours and leave with not just an answer to a question but an entirely new way of framing the problem.

Beyond the classroom, campus life has a rhythm of its own, filled with society meetings, late-night conversations in the hostel common rooms, and a community of people who are genuinely curious about the world, which makes the isolation of being tucked away in Sonipat easier to live with than I initially imagined. The facilities support this well too, from functional labs and a good library to decent hostel and sports infrastructure, all of which quietly make day-to-day student life smoother. Institutionally, Ashoka has also been earning wider recognition, having topped the IIRF rankings among newer private universities for two years running and recently making its debut on the QS World University Rankings, which lends a certain external validation to what students already sense from the inside.

None of this is to say the experience is without its demanding stretches. The workload can be intense, and adjusting to a self-directed academic pace takes real effort, but that challenge has ultimately felt worthwhile rather than draining. What I've valued most is the sense that this university is invested in producing thinkers, not just graduates, and for anyone drawn to research, cross-disciplinary learning, or simply a college experience that pushes them intellectually, Ashoka offers something genuinely rare in the Indian higher education landscape.

Wonderful experience, would definitely recommend this to my peers, as it gives you a different kind of exposure and experience. My time here was lovely, and everyone was very helpful, especially during the time I had my wallet stolen! But I safely got it back. To anyone having second thoughts, I assure this is worth it at any cost. The people you get close to will always have a special place in your heart, and you will grow as a person. And as someone who loves to explore and travel, you have much to cover here, as the culture is rich and diverse.
