Scholasticism of the Sentences

Our unique and exclusive program focusing on the Scholasticism of Master Peter Lombard's 4 books of Sentences and the commentaries of Sts. Thomas Aquinas and Bonaventure, is a 2 year graduate level course of specialization, dedicated to the detailed study and analysis in Latin of the arguments and reasons used in Scholastic debate and interpretation by these three great Italian Masters of Theology. During the 2 years, the student will study each of the Four Books of Sentences, Distinction by Distinction and participate in daily live debates in the Scholastic Method. Grades are based on class participation and on the student's performance during the 4 Quaestiones Disputatae, each twice per year. The courses are taught and overseen by a panel of 3-4 highly specialized scholars, which makes this program a world-class preparation for academics in the fields of theology, philosophy and the argumentative disciplines of law and forensic analysis.
