Explore the rich history, vibrant culture, and Romantic languages of Spain and Italy this summer! While you can't completely avoid an indoor classroom, this program will have you learning through experience as you explore the two coastal metropolises you'll call home for a couple months: Barcelona and Sorrento. Each destination is brought to life by local experts and guides, with activities such as cooking classes, neighborhood tours, market visits, and so much more!

I had such an amazing time in Barcelona and Sorrento and it really changed me for the better. I was able to grow so much throughout the whole experience, and CISabroad made the entire trip not only easy to plan and organize but really fun. The program coordinators were always there for me and my friends, and they were so nice to us. The events organized were super fun, such as cooking classes, dance classes, and some optional trips. Barcelona was a great city to study in. There was so much to do and I barely needed to travel on weekends because Barcelona had everything I needed, including the beach and mountains. And Sorrento, Italy was so great for photography because of how stunning the Amalfi Coast was. Overall, my time abroad was one to remember, and I will definitely be recommending to all my friends looking for a summer abroad experience.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

The most nerve-racking moment for me was getting off the plane for the first time in a foreign country, not knowing much of the language, and not knowing where I was supposed to go. But CISabroad sent very helpful arrival instructions, and I was able to find them and get to my housing super easily. The day of travel went even better than I expected, and I really conquered my fears.
