MADE School of Arts and Sciences offers a distinctive study abroad experience shaped by the history, culture, and geography of the Mediterranean. Classes are taught in English and are held in Palazzo Boccadifuoco, a historic Art Nouveau building overlooking the sea in the heart of Ortigia. With Sicily serving as an extended classroom, students engage in experiential learning through field studies, site visits, and community-based projects. Courses in art and design, liberal arts and sciences, Italian studies, sustainability, migration, and Mediterranean culture draw directly from the island’s unique landscapes and multicultural heritage.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, housing, visa advising, student health insurance, and transcripts.
