About Program

Ever wanted to travel to Japan? Then this is your chance! Stony Brook University offers an exchange program at Nihon University in Mishima, Japan near Mt. Fuji for a semester or academic year term. Some Japanese language experience is required, but language courses will be a big part of the course structure. Also, shorter summer terms are available, with an emphasis more on cultural immersion, with an included trip to Tokyo as well as home stays with local Japanese families. Best oversees experience Ever!!

This experience was one of the best I've ever had oversees. From day one, the program coordinator had made me feel like this trip was about seeing and experiencing Japan as it really is. The accommodations were with a local family who treated you with the upmost respect while doing their best to try to accomodate your every need. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had!
