About Program

This summer, take business courses in English at one of the top-rated business schools in Asia. Explore Taiwan’s role in the world economy and the security of Asia-Pacific, and learn about cross-straits relationship between Taiwan and China. You’ll also have plenty of time to learn some Chinese, try traditional dumplings, trek to the top of one of the tallest buildings in the world, and soak your feet in the area’s relaxing hot springs. You’ll leave at the end of summer with a full appreciation of Taiwanese culture and the complexity of its business and international relations.

Study abroad in Taipei and you’ll:

-Explore the unique attributes of Taiwan’s history and location and the role they play in contemporary culture, business, and politics
-Gain a practical understanding of Taiwan’s role in the economic and political affairs of East Asia
-Develop your ability to carry out basic conversations in Chinese as part of an optional -Communicative Chinese Language course

The entire experience was life-changing and extremely important to me. From the very start, I was supported through my study abroad program, CIEE, and the advisers and ambassadors that made the transition and adaptation to Taiwan culture as smooth as possible. I always felt supported and knew I had multiple people to help me with any questions or concerns. Taipei was the most beautiful, accepting, and culturally unique place I have ever experienced. The way of life and ideologies were so interesting and different from America, that it changed my view on health and what is actually important in life. My experience could not have gotten any better. I highly recommend using CIEE as a study abroad program because it is very easy to navigate the website and keep track of tasks that need to be completed. Also, I definitely recommend Taipei, Taiwan because of the many gorgeous landscapes and views, incredible food and bubble tea, and the welcoming Taiwanese and Chinese people.
