Good! Learn a lot about English teaching like PPP, theory of it, phonology, teaching methodology, lesson plan, error correction, adult learning theory.

Teacher is very supportive on homeworks and encourages me to keep learning. Quizzes is hard for me but i think its OK to make mistakes while learning.

It is a great way to start your teaching career by studying tesol in ontesol.

120-hr Advanced Tesol Certificate

One topic I had never learned about before was phonology and Andragogy (The Adult Learner). I really liked the tutors Margaret, Aaron and Claudia. All of them has eplained in details all my doubts. The methodology, the videos, the lesson planning workshops were very helpful for me. I could even watch the workshops twice, I have watched twice by my choice to improve my listening skill. So, it was worth every minute of studying, as I learned a lot. I liked it so much that I continue taking other courses they offer. My private tutor Margaret is wonderful.

Pros
  • I could improve my writing skills.
  • I have learned how to write a PPP lesson
  • I have learned several techniques to make classes more fun and functional.
Cons
  • I used to print the material to read, the printed material was not so complete as in platform.

120-hr tesol course

Materials were easy to find and read. OnTesol admin and tutors reply back to messages and emails within the designated time (48hrs). Course is pretty straight forward. Anyone can do it if you set your mind to it, especially with tutors being there to help at all times. Dead lines are flexible and very easy to fit around your busy everyday schedule. 120 hours is plenty of time to finish the whole course hands down. If more time is needed, you can simply extend for a fee. This will be really helpful for wrorking adults. Overall very good experience and would reccommend.

Pros
  • Work on your own hours
  • Given Lots of time to finish the course
  • Even if you don't finish the program, you have to option to extend for a fee.
Cons
  • Tutors sometimes take longer than 48hours to reply back to messages and assignments.
  • Tutors usually grade you at night time which means you get your grades at night time.
  • Too much videos to watch.

Excellent course!

I have been a certified teacher for over 25 years. I opened my own school in Japan and had staff teachers from all over the world. I decided to take OnTESOL course to further my knowledge.
Even after all these years of teaching experiences, I was motivated by how much more there was to learn in the ESL field, thank you OnTESOL.
Most of all, the professor that tutored me was an AMAZING instructor. if I take more classes, I would like to study with Professor FLORINA again.
Thank you OnTESOL for the great program.

120 Hour Advanced Tesol Certificate

I have had a great experience with ONTESOL. From the very beginning and right after I signed up for the course. The Admin Team was very prompt to answer my questions about the course prior to signing up and so was the tutor. I had a tutor name Aaron and it was very delightful to correspond with him. Furthermore, he helped me to navigate the course seamlessly. The course was very beneficial to me and I feel very equipped to start my new career as an online ESL teacher. I am confident that I will eventually get the opportunity to teach in a classroom. Choosing ONTESOL was a great decision!

Awesome learning experience

I was teaching English to school students in India for more than 12 years before I shifted to Canada. Here, the type of students and their needs changed as now I would be teaching students who didn't share the same mother tongue as mine. I also came across people who spoke neither English, nor my mother tongue and nevertheless needed to learn English. The 120 hour TESOL program by OnTesol helped me bridge the gap and has rightly equipped me with teaching skills that enable me to teach English to literally any body across the globe !
I am thrilled to use my learnings to follow my passion more confidently now .

I am forever grateful to this wonderful self-paced program and especially to my tutor Florina. She has always promptly guided me whenever needed. She even went an extra mile to make sure I got my assignments right by giving me detailed instructions before modules that could feel difficult.
With Florina being my mentor, I have always felt secure during the tenure of the course .

This course is not only for people who want to teach English, but anybody who is serious to learn the nitty-gritty of the language or anyone who interacts with multilingual people in their general day to day activities. OnTesol has some thing worthwhile to offer to every body.

Pros
  • Systematic and well organized modules
  • Time bound, yet flexible
  • Great mentorship provided by highly qualified tutors

120-hour Advanced TESOL Course

I recently completed the 120-hour TESOL course and it was an incredibly enriching experience. The course provided a comprehensive overview of teaching English as a second language, covering a wide range of topics such as lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment strategies.

One of the highlights of the course for me was learning how to create effective lesson plans. I learned about the different types of lesson plans, the key components of a good lesson plan, and how to tailor them to meet the needs of my students. This was particularly valuable as it helped me to understand the importance of planning and preparation in creating a positive and effective learning environment.

The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to answer any questions I had. They provided feedback on my lesson plans, which helped me improve my teaching skills and feel more confident in the classroom. The course materials were well-organized and easy to follow, making it simple to stay engaged and focused throughout the course.

In addition to lesson planning, the course also covered important topics such as classroom management and assessment strategies. These topics were just as important as lesson planning, as they are critical for creating a positive and effective student learning environment. The course provided practical strategies and techniques that can be applied in the classroom, making it a valuable resource for anyone interested in teaching English as a second language.

Overall, I would highly recommend this TESOL course to anyone interested in teaching English as a second language. Whether you are new to teaching or looking to refresh your skills, this course provides a solid foundation in the principles and practices of effective language instruction. I feel more confident and prepared to teach English as a second language thanks to this course, and I am excited to put my newfound knowledge and skills into practice when teaching my students.

Pros
  • Flexibility: It offers flexibility in terms of when and where you can complete the coursework.
  • Self-paced learning: It offers self-paced learning. Hence, you can progress through the course material at your own speed, allowing for a more personalized learning experience.
  • Access to diverse resources: It provides access to a wide range of extra resources such as sample lesson plans and sample textbook material which enhances the learning experience.
Cons
  • Limited interaction: It can be isolating, as there is limited interaction with other students.
  • Technology issues: Creates frustration especially when there was low upload size for assignment submission on the system.
  • Challenging quizes/tests: Some quizzes had very few questions, such that a single error will significantly affect the grade.
