About Program
The One World Young Leaders Program provides young people (18 to 25) from under-represented backgrounds with training and field experience in international human rights and development. One World Young Leaders Program spend eight weeks during the summer in a developing country. The program includes: (i) a pre-departure Leadership Development Institute and (ii) an eight-week internship with development and human rights organizations.
One World recruits one Group Leader (ages 26 to 35) for each country program. Like Young Leaders, Group Leaders participate in an eight-week program. In addition, Group Leaders ensure that the One World program runs smoothly by (i) coordinating logistics once participants arrive in country; (ii) effectively handling critical situations as they arise; and (iii) providing weekly updates to One World staff.
