About Program
Fancy travelling to the second most diverse place in the world?
The Iguazu region is home to over 2000 plant species, 400 bird species, 80 mammal species (including Jaguars and Tapirs) and many more from Caymans to lizards and frogs.
This programme allows you to get hands-on experience in a real work environment assisting the National Park conservation officers with their daily work, you activities can be (but not limited to)
- Monitoring jaguar populations
- Conducting water quality analysis to assess impact of tourism
- Running surveys on other species
- Communications and environmental interpretation
- Desk research for specific projects
- Data analysis
You will be trained by qualified personnel on the activities you have to undertake and will receive lessons of Portuguese.
Programme cost for four weeks is £1,120. There is availability for longer programmes and shorter.

Program Impact

Many describe it as a unique experience that helped them see the world in a different way, with grater understanding of the importance of protecting forests.
