About Program
GoBrazil offers a volunteering placement at school in Garça Torta, Brazil. The rural public school offers morning courses for the grades from 1 to 4 and afternoon classes for the older children up to 9th grade. We are looking for an intern to support the planning and implementation of daily lessons and/or implementation of their own project ideas. The internship should be at least over a period of 1-3 months (maximum 6 months) and can be started immediately. Upon agreement later entry dates are also possible.
Tasks:
- Assisting the teachers in the preparation and performance of classes
- taking care of the children
- Planning and implementation of extracurricular activities
- Teaching English to students and/or local English teachers
Profile:
- Good knowledge of Portuguese (or language course on site)
- Interest to work with children and other people
- Intercultural openness
- Committed, reliable, positive attitude
