About Program
GoBrazil offers a free volunteering placement at a local NGO in Maceió, Brazil. This NGO promotes research, conservation and protection of the marine fauna and flora through various projects. Daily tasks for volunteers are: conducting beach patrols searching for animals in trouble, guard tortoise eggs, help in organizing seminars and events.
The internship should be at least over a period of 1-3 months (maximum 6 months) and can be started immediately. Upon agreement later entry dates are also possible.
Tasks:
- Participation in current projects and researches
- Taking care of sick and injured animals (mostly sea turtles)
- Event Management
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Portuguese (or language course on site)
- Students of biology, oceanology, veterinary
- Interest and motivation to work with animals and people
- Committed, reliable, positive attitude
