About Program
Bridge of Life School occasionally hosts volunteers. These individuals typically work in our English language classes. Students really enjoy learning with native or non-native speakers as it boosts confidence and will prepare them for jobs in the city, where they must speak with both native and non-native English speakers from a variety of countries.
In order to volunteer we ask you to make a minimum two week commitment. This will allow you to make a more meaningful impact. Before you arrive you will need to submit a background/police report so we can verify your identity and history. You will also need to attend a child protection training when you arrive. Finally, we ask you to make a donation of $100 a week which helps both support our school and cover the cost of your transportation to and from the site.
If you need we can also offer volunteer packages which include accommodation at a guesthouse, two meals per day, transportation to and from the airport and to your site, as well as a tour of where we work in Kompong Khleang with Community First: Kompong Khleang Floating Village Tours. The fee for this is $250 week and again includes a small donation to the school.
