Impact 🌎

GIVE's mission is to inspire growth, empower global citizens, and ignite sustainable change worldwide. To truly inspire growth and achieve sustainable travel internationally, GIVE has adopted the Asset-based community development (ABCD) model, a set of proven best practices in sustainable development that mobilizes a community’s assets and resources as the basis for development. Furthermore, through providing hands-on and eye-opening learning experiences that foster authentic connections between participants and host community members, we can empower global citizens who will continue to spread GIVE’s values and ignite sustainable change worldwide.
Exploring the world with GIVE is all about responsible travel, but what does that really mean?
Mindful Tourism + Community Partnership = Economic Growth & Community Empowerment.

Part of what makes GIVE trips so special is being fully immersed in the cultures and communities we visit. However, we take extra steps to ensure we minimize our influence and always respect local cultures. We prepare all participants before travel and ensure they understand the culture and how to dress appropriately.

What would you improve about this program?
I have no improvements to be made, our guide communicated how flexible we needed to be so when something came up that was not according to plan, we rolled with it and had a backup ready to go.

Nepal Trip

I loved this trip!! From the very beginning I knew I was going to have a blast! Amy,my Guide was amazing. You can definitely tell she loves her job and she gives it a 100% of her effort. I loved the volunteering and being along side the locals was an amazing experience I will never forget. The add ons that we did were so much fun and I will never forget this experience. Volunteering was a lot of fun because we definetly saw and made an impact in this community. One of the parts that I loved about this trip was the Homestay. We got to cook and live with a Nepali family for the night which was so much fun and life changing. Everyone here was wonderful and they were more than welcoming to everyone. EBC was also so much fun. I think it is a great add on for what the price and experience is. It was so so hard, but the guides are so cool and they will push you to your fullest potential. This trip is all worth it.

What would you improve about this program?
Maybe 1 day of white river water rafting. It was so cold that day. I also like the smaller groups. You get to become closer with your group.

Best trip ever

It was the best experience ever you get to dive into the cultures of people around the world and work with them to help rebuild their homes and even if you can’t speak the language you find many ways to communicate and have fun. By far the best time I have ever had. You also get to meet amazing people around the world. Not only do you meet people you get the chance to also stay in the homes of the people you help build. The after a hard day you get to go to a local school and teach kids english. The fun doesn’t stop because once you go back home you take a quick shower and you run up to the hill and challenge the locals in a game of soccer, but don’t kick it don’t the hill because you have to go chase it . at the end of the trip after you worked so hard you get to go water rafting and just relax and be surrounded by the amazing people this was the best experience I have ever had thank you give
