About

This program is designed to help people with various disabilities, especially autistic children, develop their IQ through painting, drawing, basic life skills etc. There is a sensory centre which we look for volunteers to help run.

This program also helps other kids from the orphanages to develop their creativity, self confidence, and self esteem.

Being a creative arts volunteer gives you the opportunity to use music, art, drama, dance, etc., to teach. Volunteers have the freedom to develop their own topics and come out with creative ideas.

Sanitary Towels to Keep girls in School

According to UNICEF report, most girls from rural communities and poor homes in Ghana miss 5days of school every month because they can't afford a sanitary towel. This affect their academics and also their confidence. We as an organization has embark on sanitary towel donation to the communities we put volunteers. Volunteers signing up with us means a girl who have the privilege of being in school for an academic term

Creative arts workshop - August 2016

Me and my partner gave creative art workshops for two weeks at the All Nations Charity Home via Sally and her Solutions for Life Initiative. The volunteering placement was well coordinated and also the home stay was very well arranged for.
Solutions for Life consists of a unique local NGO in Kumasi, Ghana, whom we want to keep supporting from abroad. We saw that the children of All Nations really enjoyed this summer activity and that they engaged very much in all sorts of creative activities (drawing, painting, making their own huge board games,

Creative Arts at an Orphanage

It's been really exciting to play with the kids at the orphanage and do drawing activities with them. It really gives them a chance to explore their creative mind and I love seeing the pride and joy on their faces after they complete a drawing. Sally has also been a wonderful host and is really accommodating to any of my needs. I've had such a great time in Ghana playing with the kids and it's been very joyful.

What would you improve about this program?
It's quite limiting in terms of time since the kids get back from school late and it's best not to stay out at the orphanage when it gets dark.
