The Climate Activist Program takes place in India and focuses on environmental projects together with the local communities. The course includes a 6 weeks theoretical and practical preparation period in CICD, England, 11 weeks service period abroad with your trio and 4 weeks in the college, where you can share your experiences and results and make a call to action for others to continue in your footsteps!

During your period in India the following tasks can be done with your team:
- Tree planting
- Solar energy
- Establishing Urban Gardens (“roof top gardens”) in schools
- Construction and installation of smokeless stoves
- Etc.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with CICD - College for International Co-operation & Development for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Fight against Climate Change!

The Climate Change programme I think it's necessary for everyone who needs a break from their normal jobs in our "pink" society. 5 months in total and 3 months in India, working with the communities, schools to fight against the climate change. I saw great teams doing great improvement with Urban Garden in New Delhi. Transforming spaces where was just rubbish in a garden, especially in the schools. The kids they need to learn from now how you can grow your own food and be responsible for our future. Making 75 Urban Garden that's a good target and I look forward joining them...Keep up the good work!
