About Program

Delhi, the capital of India is one of the most culturally and historically rich city. Despite being one of the most important cities in the world, it is not perfect. There are a lot of children who are still not able to go to school and the ones' who do attend school are not getting any education outside their textbooks. At the same time, even though the nation is developing, women are still under the pressure of their social-economic status.

Volunteer Work available:
1) Teaching
2) Women Empowerment
3) Marketing
Don't worry though, it is not all work. Delhi is a cultural hub and their is no lack of places to visit and enjoy with various markets, monuments etc inside Delhi and many cities surrounding it such as Agra which is famous for the Taj Mahal, Jaipur and Varanasi.

Inclusions:
1) Stay
2) Meals
3) Experience Captain
4) Airport Pickup
5) Pre-departure support
6) Orientation meeting and an authentic India lunch, on us!
6) Old Delhi and Agra tour included!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Amazing Trip

The TTW team was amazing. I am a solo traveler came to Delhi to visit monuments of Delhi and wanted to experience Mughal history. I was guided by the program of the Tarzan Way. Their tips and tricks were really helpful to travel in Delhi. The people working there were really nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the time spent in Delhi, the food was really satisfying for me The trip was most enjoyable thanks to the services provided by our travel agent of this tour company. Our agent was very attentive to our wishes and interests, and arranged a schedule to meet our needs. He was very patient and made the adjustment to our schedule as interest.

What would you improve about this program?
TTW team curated individual trip for me according to my wish. They nicely organized my travel. I'm very satisfied with the money I spent.

Great Support

Thumbs up Tarzan Way for your support. Right from the pick up at the airport, you were a constant companion in my journey. You guys made my stay worthwhile. I was privileged to provide my services to the old folk at the old age home. 15 days seemed less for my stay as I got deeply engaged in my daily activates with the people there. I will be coming again to this beautiful country and people. Visiting Taj Mahal was awesome and the tour of the Delhi street food trail was lip-smacking. I really enjoyed every time of my stay. Thanks, Tarzan Way.

Good Choice

I found a volunteering program in Delhi through TTW. I spent 2 weeks teaching street children ranging from 5 to 13 years old children. The school teachers were really helpful and supportive and they want us to teach new content to their students. The students were nice and interested in learning new subjects and games. The time I spent with them was one of the best experiences in my life which I would remember every day in my life. I wish I could spend more time with them. Thanks to Tarzan Way for giving me such a good experience.

What would you improve about this program?
Nothing to improve. Everything was well managed. The TTW made my trip easier and comfortable. The service provided by The Tarzan Way was satisfactory and up to the mark.

Life Changed forever

The TTW program in Delhi was just amazing! The staff was really helpful and sweet! The orientation was very interesting and informative. I really ended up using the tips and guidelines they told me about there. I made so many friends from all over the world whom I will never forget. My only regret is that I could only come for two weeks. I was almost in tears when I left India because I had to say bye to my amazing host, new friends and the sweet little angels I was teaching in the school. I’m happy I choose TTW and India for my travel abroad. I will definitely come back to them again very very soon.
I would recommend this project to anyone who want to travel to India but has a very low budget but does not want to compromise on safety and quality. The amount they charged was really very less as compared to some of the other programs that I had looked up while looking for a project in India.

What would you improve about this program?
It was an amazing project. Obviously everything can be improved but personally I did not face any issue which I feel can be improved.

First International Trip

Initially before coming to India, I was very scared. I had never been out of my country and on a spontaneous decision decided to go on a solo trip to another country. When I arrived in India, it was a totally different case. After a tiring flight, I was received by Aman who was my coordinator. He treated me to a yummy Indian meal and then dropped me at my homestay. I was staying with one of the teachers in the school I was volunteering in. She was an amazing host and showed me around the entire city. Even in the school I was met with a very friendly environment with very cute children always coming up to me asking questions about my country. Overall, I feel India is a part of me now and I have a family with ttw and my host Miss Dipti whenever I go back to India again.

What would you improve about this program?
They should try to make larger groups of volunteers. I was volunteering in a group of 3 and maybe it would be more fun in larger groups.

Best experience ever

My two week in Delhi were really amazing. I met so many people and made so many friends. We went on a weekend trip to Kasol which was amazing. It was such an adventure. Would definitely recommend everyone who visits Delhi to go Kasol.
Also when you are in Delhi, don't forget to try Butter Chicken. Delhi is famous for this dish and it is literally the best thing that you can have.
There is so much to do and so many things to see. Travelling to India is a must!

Changing lives

When I decided to travel abroad and volunteer, I never could've imagined the kind of impact I would create. We don't realize how much potential we have to influence those around us.
I came to Delhi through TTW for a Volunteer project with the responsibility to teach children. Apart from teaching English, I also took music sessions since I had informed my coordinator before coming to India that I could sing and play the guitar. I was surprised by how talented these children were. Most of them could sing and they would often use empty boxes and tables to make music while singing. Most of the children came from slums and could not really afford to take proper classes or instruments. Some of the other staff told me that these students are pushed to take up such extracurricular things so that they don't get influenced by the bad things around them such as drugs and alcohol.
Throughout my project, I tried my best to be a role model for these kids, motivating them to study and work hard.

I had never thought I would impact no many lives by my impromptu decision to travel, but the respect I saw in their eyes and how they used to came me Bhaiya (Elder brother) really changed my perspective about so many things.

My travel to India

I volunteered abroad for the first time this summer in India. India is such a beautiful country with so many people, so many things to see and so much to do. My four weeks of stay in Delhi were not enough to do everything around me. My job was to teach English to children and it was such a beautiful experience. I also helped make an Instagram page for the NGO I worked for and they really appreciated it. Overall my visit to India was amazing and I will remember these memories all my life.

The Tarzan Way was also awesome. They supported me with everything and never made me feel alone. I would definitely recommend coming to India through them.
