A Truly Fulfilling Experience with Volunteer Quest India!

I had the chance to join the Volunteer Quest India Research Program in Jaipur back in Aug 2024, and it was honestly such an incredible experince. From the start, the team made me feel so welcome and guided me through everything – from the cultural aspects to the actual work we were doing.

The project that I was a part of felt very rewarding and made me feel like I waa actually making an impact. Jaipur itself is such a vibrant city, and I loved being able to explore it while also getting to know the people and their daily lives. This program gave me the chance to not only grow personally and professionally.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
There was a thing called Kachori whihc was served with a hot chickpea curry that I really enjoyed. Kachori is deep fried with lentils and is like a staple in the city. I had it almost every other day on my way to the program for breakfast.
Pros
  • Made a lot of local friends, Jaipur has very friendly people
  • As a history buff spent every weekend visit nearby cities and monuments
Cons
  • Wouldn't recommend visiting during summers, it gets very hot

Jaipur Bird Conservation

My three weeks in Jaipur for the Bird Conservation program were an unforgettable experience. I had the chance to work closely with the team, helping rescue and rehabilitate birds, and it was truly rewarding to see the positive impact we made. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, making the experience even more meaningful. The accommodation was comfortable, and I felt like part of the team from the moment I arrived. It was an eye-opening experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone passionate about wildlife conservation.
