About Program
Activists are needed - to work with the poor to get a cleaner and better environment, access to clean water, light at night without burning precious trees and without electricity.....all we can do is useful and needed, and we must be many to do a lot - so you are needed!
In India you and your team will be working closely together with communities around environmental projects. The concrete tasks will depend on the time of year and the specific needs at Humana People to People’s projects. It can be: Tree planting, construction of biogas plants, solar energy, ground water recharge and water initiatives, construction and installation of smokeless stoves.
One week is set aside for traveling and experiencing India.

The economic growth and substantial changes to the infrastructure have made it possible for many cities to grow as travel destinations. Exploring India is inexpensive but rich in culture with big ticket attractions like the Taj Mahal to the taken-for-granted geography of the mountains, deserts, and beaches.
