Life changing

This program opened my eyes to the different cultures, people, and lifestyles, breaking out of our comfort zone, constantly pushing myself to the limit, whilst keeping us safe. This program is life-changing and is the best place to be as it gives you the tools to handle life’s challenges

Also I love the cultural scenes that I got to see and eating the cultural food of Limpopo.

The Warriors program was life changing for me and eye opening, and I couldn’t emphasize more on how good this program can be for you if you're young and lost (I ate a giant worm which was a superior taste)

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The giant cliff jumps and and bum slides in the forest that I had to do in the mountains that was the most exciting and scariest thing ever
Pros
  • Good people
  • Activities
  • Events
Cons
  • The farts
  • Racist jokes
  • Negativity

Life Enhancing

Warriors fulfilled my expectations and I learned a lot about myself and others. The experiences and trips were a lot of fun and challenging. We first did a 5 day hike which was hard due to weather conditions and injuries and there wasn‘t much of a payoff. Then we did a 10 day cycle safari where we cycled approximately 450 km. It was very challenging especially in the hot sun but we did a lot of fun activities. Afterwards we did a 3 day Kruger hike where we saw some cool animals and slept in the wild. Lastly we did a 5 day rafting trip with fun cliff diving and water activities. I was able to improve my mental and physical health and I hope to carry the habits and mindset I have gained moving forward.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
I ate a worm at a traditional village
Pros
  • Physical health
  • Good habits
  • Support
Cons

It was the best experience ever

Warriors academy has not only made me reach my goals I had before but I have achieved so much more. I have pushed myself so much and I have seen the progress. I have made incredible connections with many of the warriors and the MAI’s such as Luke, Shaun, Freddie and Teo made me feel safe on every trip I went on. The facilitators such as Dylan, Derrek and Thomas ensured we were comfortable and enjoying the entire experience. Not only did the facilitators and MAI’s make me feel so safe but they helped me build my confidence.

What was your funniest moment?
The funniest moment was when we were on our cycles and a tiny dog chased the facilitator, Dylan down a massive downhill and I had to “save” him.
Pros
  • Extremely fun
  • You push yourself
  • Builds ylu physically and mentally
Cons
  • Some warriors aren’t as supportive as they should be
  • Having our phones once a week, I’d prefer to have it or to not have them at all.

So fun

I truly enjoyed the physical drive of pushing myself and others to greatness, fostering an environment of motivation and progress. The support from everyone was welcoming and loving, creating a sense of community that helped me thrive. My ADHD has improved significantly, as I’ve learned to manage it better. Establishing routines for life has given me more structure and focus, allowing me to channel my energy productively and set achievable goals while supporting others in their growth as well. Truly special

I found myself

Warrior Academy’s First Quest was an incredible experience that pushed me beyond my limits, both physically and mentally. From intense outdoor challenges to deep personal growth, every moment shaped me into a stronger, more self-aware person. The balance of adventure, teamwork, and self-discovery was life-changing. I met amazing people, learned valuable survival skills, and gained confidence in ways I never expected. It’s an unforgettable journey that I’d highly recommend to anyone.

The physical training was tough but rewarding, helping me build endurance, resilience, and discipline. The breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures made every challenge worth it, reinforcing my love for nature and adventure. Most importantly, I walked away with lifelong friendships and a deeper understanding of who I am and what I’m capable of.

The best week ever

The Warriors program was the most rewarding, fun and exciting week of my life. It taught me so much that I have been able to bring back into my everyday life. I am so grateful for the experience this program gave me, the instructors were some of the most amazing people I have ever met and I can’t thank them enough for everything they have taught me. The program allowed us to understand more about South African culture by eating South African meals and seeing the amazing wildlife and landscapes.
