I found myself

This program made me grow already in 7 weeks. I met incredible people from all over the world, each with their own problems, all with a specific goal. I made real friends who grew with me during this program. You shouldn't expect anything easy when signing for the warriors... The activities we do are physically or mentally exhausting (often both). It's amazing how much mental improvement improves during a quest (of course only if you're committed). The staff around us listen and help us throughout this adventure... Thank you warriors!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
That was the time we had to carry tree logs in groups of 2 or 3, over a distance of 6km in the night. This experience really made me suffer mentally and physically but made me grow
Pros
  • Exiting activities
  • Meeting interesting people
  • Comitment of everyone
Cons
  • rented equipment sometimes of poor quality
  • sometimes bad atmosphere between the warriors due to fatigue
  • sometimes lack of food during hikes and cycle safari

An awesome bit of fun

I've loved my time at warriors so far, I love how physically demanding it is, I love the way the program is structured, how the people are so friendly and dependable and overall how much it has pushed me out of my comfort zone.

I really enjoyed to mental aspects of the course like self mastery as it really allowed me to look at myself in way I hadn't before, career guidance was also a really good experience for me as I feel like I was able to get guidance for careers that felt more personable.

overall I would recomend this to anyone lost or someone who want to try something new.

Awesome 7 week Quest

I have completed 7 weeks at the Warriors Gap Year Academy. In these weeks I learned so much about myself. This first Quest began on a mental level with the Self-Mastery course. This course was a very special opportunity for me to get rid of many mental insecurities I lived with.

Afterwards we did very exhausting hikes and a 10 day cycle with amazing views of the flora and fauna in this area of Africa. The mental preparation at the beginning helped me a lot to overcome the mental challenges I had to face during these adventures.

All in all this program offers an amazing opportunity to push yourself mentally and physically forward and to experience this with people who come from all around the world.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
We ate grilled Mupani worms near nature reserves during a cultural show about South Agrican tribes.
Pros
  • Awesome adventures
  • Gets you uncomfortable
  • International audience
Cons
  • Sometimes disorganized

Quest 1 review

I had a really good time warriors help me with finding myself and making me more active. The activities were very fun and challenging. They provide help when needed and I have a feeling I found a new family. I made some amazing friends here from all over the world. I mostly enjoyed the cycle safari of 10 days and the hiking in the national park without a tent. You really feel you are one with nature then. You learn what kind of personality you have and the good and bad parts about it. I would highly recommend warriors academy to others.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
We got the chance to eat worms at a tribe. It was actually pretty nice
Pros
  • Positivity
  • You get active
  • Friendship

Warriors Academy Gap Year Program

first quest with warriors made me realise how strong mentally and physically I can be and to push myself to constantly improve. I've never felt better, majority of the time I was genuinely happy and wouldn’t exchange this experience for anything - all the memories and moments that I will keep with me for the rest of my life, I met a lot of new people with a lot of different personalities and made some good friends and created some amazing bonds. At times the rules got overwhelming and everything felt time pressured and didn’t feel like we hade enough time to get things done

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
stick to the rules and don’t break any rules or take advantage if the opportunities they give you
Pros
  • building new incredible friendships
  • travelling
  • experience new things
Cons
  • no phones
  • strict rules
  • not enough free time

I really enjoyed the first quest, it was fun and we did so many new things and plenty of activities. I overall enjoyed everything and have never been happiet with my physical condition. The showed me that I was worth way more than I thought and that I can accomplish anything If I put my mind and heart to it.I learned that I should never see a bad expierience as a bad thing and that I should take it in a positive perspective and learn from it .I am now permanently motivated to do what ever comes up with a smile.

Warriors summer 2024

I have grown a lot in mental and physical strength after summer quest, my mental health has mostly improved due to the discipline I have gained from the various routines and activities that we have done during these past 7 weeks. The environment at base camp gives you the constant opportunity to improve whether it be your running time, swimming, cycling or your own self mastery. The facilities and community of staff and MAIs are very good and can usually answer any questions or solve problems that you have.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
My advice would be to come here with low expectations and take the leap of faith that you will enjoy it. Be ready to go outside your comfort zone and grow with the group and as an individual.
Pros
  • Good people
  • Good weather
  • Lots of activities to fill your day
Cons
  • Food is mid but not bad
  • Wi-Fi is bad
  • Strict on punctuality, collective punishment
