¡Vale!

Immersion truly is the best way to learn a language. I can´t believe how far I´ve come within just one month. My Spanish isn´t perfect, but I can proudly say I can make my way comfortably around Spain. This whole month has been incredibly beautiful, and I am extremely thankful I got to experience Spanish culture firsthand. From the food, the sights, the music, the dancing, it´s all a wonderful experience. I definitely prefer this to flashcards for trying to learn Spanish.

What would you improve about this program?
The ITCs were incredibly scripted and forced, I feel we all could have learned more through actual experiences.

Ciee Sevilla Spain

This program truly has helped me grow as a person. It has allowed me to learn Spanish better while meeting new friends. I want future participants to know to be optimistic and have hope. Also they need to know that not every part of the trip will be fun. My favorite memory is Granada because it was fun and showed the many different cultures in Spain. I really enjoyed the program and and learned a lot from it.

I Love CIEE

This program changed my life I view things very different now that I know that there is more in the world than my little town. My experience was unique because I made sure to make the most of my time here and not everyone did that. When we would go out to eat I would make sure we were going to a traditional Spanish restaurant. I got lost a few times but it was a fun experience that everyone should enjoy.

What would you improve about this program?
This program can be improved by having less walking tours and maybe more activities where your doing hands on activities. Also the ITCs are not very useful to me and I think something else similar should be substituted for them.

Visiting a New Place

I have been traveling to Hungary for every year of my life, so I am used to changing cultures every year. When I got to Sevilla I was pretty confident that I wouldn't be influenced by culture shock too much. In many eayd the appearance of the city and the people seemed very similar to Hungary. However the language and night life of Sevilla are different from anything I have experienced before. I think I have adjusted pretty well to my surroundings, and i will be very sad to leave Sevilla, because now I am totally used to this way of life now. Although it is similar in ways to Hungary, the differences hete make being here in Sevilla a unique and irreplaceable experience for me.

Review

I think this trip was good for me.!:) I think I learned a lot about myself and who I am as a person. I had a hard time with my first host family but after getting my second host family I feel better. I really liked my teacher because she was nice to me and taught me a lot about Spanish. I feel like I really approved with my Spanish by learning from her and leaving in this city. I made a lot of
New friends who I hope I can see all year around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you improve about this program?
By checking out the host families more!!!

CIEE Review

The experience was amazing. i really love Seville and I would for sure come back. The program wasnt the best. I feel like it wasn´t organized and there was alot of stuff that happened. i really enjoyed the people in this program and the friends i made. im thankful for the experience and the new knowledge i have of Spanish. I feel like their should be more better cultral activities and the ITC were very unorganized. They weren´t very helpful in my oponion. But overall it was fun and i don´t regret doing it.

Sevilla Ciee trip

This past month has flown by. During this trip I have met amazing people from all over the US and Sevilla. Moreover my fluency and confidence in Spanish has definitely improved. Living with a host family has been a touching experience. I was immersed into the culture. With the structure of the program I have been able to gain independence and been able to explore the wonders of Sevilla. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is looking for a great summer experience.

What would you improve about this program?
Because this is not my first time traveling to Europe or traveling alone, I would have wished that I would have been pushed out of my comfort zone more. Additionally the class activities (ITC) and homework would be better if they would not be so repetitive and forced at times.

Great experience!

I had a lot of fun this month on ciee and loved living with a host family and being fully immersed in Spanish culture. My host family was so nice and I loved spending free time with my friends and discovering different places in Sevilla. While I liked the independent environment ciee created, i felt that at times I would have liked a little bit more independence with the activities. There were a LOT of walking tours and I know that some people enjoy those but personally I would have liked some more variety and choice with the morning/excursion activities. I really liked all the excursions we did (especially aracena) and I would have loved to go on one more excursion like to the beach or a museum or park.

What would you improve about this program?
I think that they should let the students have a say in the morning activities and also have the itcs be a bit more helpful and independent and less of talking to random people
