IT internship in Shenzhen exceeded all expectations

As a software engineering graduate from Poland, I wanted hands-on AI experience. GAC placed me with a tech startup in Shenzhen — China's Silicon Valley. I worked on real machine learning projects alongside experienced developers. The office culture was fast-paced and collaborative. My Mandarin was zero at the start, but weekly lessons helped me get by. The apartment was modern, and the 24/7 support team was always there. Within two months of returning home, I received two job offers — both mentioned my China experience as a key differentiator. Highly recommend for any IT student.

for tech it's the best

As a software engineering graduate from Poland, I wanted hands-on experience in AI and machine learning. GAC placed me with a tech startup in Shenzhen — China's Silicon Valley. I worked on real projects, building algorithms and optimizing code alongside experienced developers. My Mandarin was zero, but the team spoke English, and weekly lessons helped me get by. The apartment was modern, and the 24/7 support team was always available. Within two months of returning home, I received two job offers — both mentioned my China experience as a key differentiator. If you're in tech, this is the program.

South Korea vs China IT

i have not been to China in my entire life, even though everyone in the university and our class was talking of going there, for IT Consultant internship, if you know the Yonsei university form where i graduated with 3.9 GPA , then you can understand my situation and i was really eager to get even specialized in IT i joined the Go Abroad China IT & AI internship in late 2025 & completed in January 2026 and i was placed in tech company which was a startup and that was where i got lucky and since it was startup i think it was a best time of learning and executing. I rate the growth there 5 since it was a startup and support from them was great. i can say i retuned back home with practical experience of my IT career

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
i trust it was every Chinese food that i haven't tried in my home country South Korea
Pros
  • Startup placement with real growth
  • airport pick up and visa support
