Mechanical engineering internship in Shenzhen

As a mechanical engineering graduate from Sweden, I wanted hands-on experience in renewable energy. GAC placed me with a clean tech company in Shenzhen working on EV battery systems. I wasn't just observing – I was in the lab, running tests, analyzing data, and presenting findings to senior engineers. My mentor taught me how Chinese manufacturing works at scale. The team handled my visa, found me a modern apartment, and checked in weekly. Three months later, I landed a job in green tech back in Stockholm. My China experience made my CV stand out. Worth every krona.

Wonderful Experiences with GAC

I’ve been absolutely loving my time in the GAC program this semester more than I ever expected! The personalized Chinese learning here is nothing like traditional classes—our teachers tailor the lessons to our own learning paces and weaknesses, focusing on the parts we struggle with instead of following a rigid textbook. Every class is full of interactive speaking practices, so I never feel nervous to speak up and my oral Chinese has gotten so much more fluent in such a short time.

What’s more, the internship that comes with the program has been such a valuable eye-opener. I’ve gotten hands-on experience with real business tasks, learned how to collaborate efficiently with team members, and picked up so many practical work skills that you can never learn from books. The mentors here are incredibly patient, always willing to guide me through challenges and share their professional insights.

Thinking of my startup as an engineer

i graduated from the university of Munich in Germany in 2024 and for about a year I took an internship in the Germany in a company of construction, but was never as practical as my recent experience in China with Go Abroad China. i enrolled in the program in September, 2025 and it has been just a week i returned back to Germany. I am thinking of starting my own startup instead of looking for a job, but i am sure after my experience and time in China there is %300 chance i can get a job here without any headaches. Thanks to Go Abroad China
