a good internship

It was my 2nd year as an intern in Medulin Excursions, and again it was very nice, I improved a lot of my skills such as language, soft skills, customer serivce and many more of them. All the informations which i got before the internship about it were coherent with what I was doing in the company.
This internship is a good way to get a vacation and work at the same time so i really recommend it to people who are not scared of sun.
I really enjoyed my time there for 2nd season and I am of thinking of coming back for another one.

Pros
  • Nice location
  • free accomodation
  • good vibe in comapny
Cons
  • it is hot so it might be hard for some people

The best traineeship

This traineeship was really exclusive, interesting and useful for me . For sure I will recommend it for another students , who want to spend active summer time in the seaside and on the boat . In this company you can meet a lot of people from different countries and different nationalities, and they have perfect interactions with you and each others!!!! The managers here are really responsible and helpful, if you have any problems you can call them even in the midnight 🤘. I want also to thank another guys who we’re working with me, It was really nice summer 🫶🏼

What was your funniest moment?
The funniest moment was my birthday here (the best and funniest birthday in my life)

Great opportunity

Great opportunity to gain experience in sales and make money! You will be able to meet people from all around the world and learn a lot about other cultures. Also a great opportunity to improve language skills, probably a unique one. After three months I'm able to speak Italian on a conversational level. If you know German or want to learn/improve it this place is 100% for you. The atmosphere between colleagues stayed really warm all the time, I made a lot of friends. But be prepared for a lot of sun and the heat almost every day, you better have good endurance for this job!

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
The sky before storm is something that can't be described with words.
Pros
  • Language skills
  • Multicultural
  • Sales experience
Cons
  • Hot
  • On your feet a lot
  • Might need to work till late

Amazing Experience for Overall Growth

Working for Team Sandra this past summer (Late May - Mid August) was a life changing experience for me. I worked as a sales manager/booker which has improved my confidence, language and communication skills, problem solving skills, and overall work ethic.

This opportunity has taught me how to step out of my comfort zone, create new and long-term friendships, be flexible/adaptable, and use my voice. It has also shown me what I'm capable of, which I think was the most important and life changing part of the last 3 months.

As a booker you do a lot of standing, writing flyers, answering questions, and customer interactions/sales; other bookers are usually willing to help with presentations/questions when it's appropriate, and Sinisia and Jelina are easily reachable for higher level questions, which provides a lower stress environment and promotes teamwork.

While you are working for the company, you are also working for yourself. Don't expect this job to be easy and low effort. You will get back what you put into the job so make it count and push yourself to focus, learn, and grow!

This job will give you experience, sales knowledge (+ tips/tricks), immense personal growth, friends and memories that'll last a lifetime, and one hell of a story!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
The team is very multicultural, be openminded and prepared for cultural differences, new languages, and different lifestyles. Be yourself with your crew and let real friendships unfold, they will be your backbone for getting through the season :)
DONT FORGET SUNSCREEN, SUNGLASSES, OR A HAT
Pros

Traineeship in Medulin, Sandra Boat Excursions

My experience in Medulin as a trainee working for Medulin Excursions Sandra lasted for 5 months (April to august).
During this period of time, I have learnt so many things about languages, marketing skills… But the most important: I learnt about people. To have an experience in a foreign country and especially here, in a multicultural environment was the best experience I have ever had.
To meet people from all around the world, work and live with them give you an open mind and a great sense of adaptability.
I am really happy about these 5 months in Medulin.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
If you take part of a program in a foreign country, you have to be ready to meet people from different culture. The best advice I can give, to work or live there, is to let things come and go as they are, don’t try to change them because you have no possibility for this, adapt yourself to the places you are and people you are with. You will learn and earn benefits from this.
Pros
  • Experience
  • People
  • Work
Cons
  • Multicultural gap sometimes

Summer in Croatia

I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a summer internship in Medulin, and it was an experience I'll never forget. What i loved about my work as a Boat animator was multicultural work atmosphere and also opportunity to improve language skills. Part of my job was swimming into the Cave, explaining people the route of the trip, serving drinks etc. Also we had a free meal on working days. Overall i highly recommend this internship. The skills, memories and friendships I gained will stay with me for my whole life.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Definitelly swimming to the underwater Cave. It was part of my job but viewe there were spectacular, unbelievable like from another world

3 month internship as a 17 year old

First a thanks to Sinisa and Jelina for this incredible experience. Which really changed my life for the better.

This internship was not what I would have chosen in the first place but it was exactly what I needed. Due to my study Hotel- and eventmanagement is sales a not very common internship subject. But for my growth and experience this was what I needed.

I arrived mid May and ended in the end of August. A little bit of pre-season and highseason. Here you really get all the help: free housing, guidance and provision. Here you can combine your internship, growth and earn some money. It is hard work, but you get all the opportunities to develop yourself. You can go out with the tours and visit Croatia in the mean time.

Your colleagues will be from all around the world, and believe me, you will be a tight group together, there’s also good time for fun!

Meeting new people, as a sales manager/ booker you will meet lots of people, from a lot of countries, you will make new friends.
Even me, my first week I was super shy, I did not like talking to new people and within a week I opened my mouth and I had a voice and became super confident.

Here I felt very safe, they looked after me well, the bosses are fair but strict. If you are addicted to your phone & always on it or complaining all the time this is not your place to be but if you want to grow and invest in yourself and become more self-confident then this IS the place to be.

If your looking for a good internship for some personal growth and if your willing to work hard and want to be more independent, this will be the perfect choice.
This is my experience with it.

What was your funniest moment?
One of the funniest moment is that when there was no people on the streets we played Christmas music in 35 degrees summer. Me and my colleague sang and laughed a lot which was super fun.
Pros
  • Free housing with fellow colleagues nearby working place
  • Provision
  • Bosses are Proactive and quick with solving issues
Cons
  • Its a warm temperature outside
  • Standing long time

Great Experience

I had the privilege of completing an internship in an outstanding team characterized by mutual support and collaboration. Each team member actively contributed, ensuring that I felt welcome and integrated at all times. The collegial atmosphere made working a genuine pleasure and allowed me to develop professionally and personally in a short amount of time.

The experience I gained during my internship was incredibly valuable. I had the opportunity to participate in party boats and other tours, which allowed me to acquire new skills.

Especially memorable were the unique experiences I had during my internship. From inspiring conversations with interesting people to unexpected challenges, each experience contributed to broadening my horizons and developing me as a person.

The assistance offered during my internship was exceptional. Whether it was answering questions or providing advice, the team was always ready to support me and ensure that I made the most of my time.

The accommodation provided to me during my internship was more than satisfactory. Although it was simple, it offered everything I needed to feel comfortable and safe. The opportunity to live near the workplace significantly contributed to my work-life balance and allowed me to make the most of my time.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I were to do the program again, I would better manage my time after work and/or before work.
