About Program

Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra as well as the commercial and entertainment capital of India. Due to its history as a major trading center, Mumbai offers a cosmopolitan lifestyle with a diverse group of cultures, religions and cuisines coexisting in the city. While in Mumbai, students will be studying and taking a local culture course at St. Xavier's College, which was built in the Jesuit tradition and has been rated as the best college in India for the arts, and second best for commerce and science.

On this program, you will:

** Undertake a professional internship in non-profit, education, public health, social welfare, and social services-related sectors
** Earn academic credit for your internship via a ten-week online course
** Learn about Indian culture and history through an on-site course taught by St. Xavier's College faculty
** Live with other program participants in the YWCA International Centre
