Schools are located throughout Chile. We have found that these placements provide the most impactful immersion experiences to learn about real Chilean life, and participants have wonderful experiences being placed throughout the country.

Program fee: $1,900 USD

Wondering why you have to pay to teach?

Programs like this one in Chile don’t have direct government funding, so teachers who want to teach there must cover some of their own expenses. When programs cost money, we do try to keep them as cheap as possible (we are a non-profit!) but there are some costs associated with running a program when it does not have any direct funding. The program cost covers things like extensive support from your program manager, insurance, orientation and excursions, accommodation during orientation, support staff, airport pickup, transportation from Santiago to your placement city, administrative costs of placement and support, etc. Program staff will be available to answer any questions before and after arrival, and you’ll have access to 24/7 support if needed while in Chile.

Before applying, be sure that you meet the eligibility requirements below.

Native English speaker
Citizen of the EU, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia
Bachelor’s degree OR TEFL certification (at least a 100 hours online course)
Teaching or tutoring experience preferred
Ages 21-35
Be in great mental and physical health
No criminal record (with the exception of traffic or other minor violations)
Must be open minded, flexible, and adaptable
Must be prepared to make teaching and time with host family a priority
