Xiangcheng Campus (www.sflsxc.com) is the first branch school of Suzhou Foreign Language School (www.sfls.com) in Suzhou City. It’s a brand-new school invested more than 800 million RMB by Suzhou Guanghua Educational Group. Its land area is 97618 square meters, and the construction area is 137000 square meters. It is located within the Commercial Circle of the Vitality Island in Xiangcheng District, only 0.8 kilometers to the Metro 4th Line from the campus site at the intersection of the Yucheng Rd and Jinzhuan Rd.

Xiangcheng Campus (XCC) consists of four divisions, Kindergarten, Primary School, Junior and Senior Schools. We admit mainly Chinese students and some international students as well. The Kindergarten will be officially put to use in March 2018, and the Primary School in September 2018. The Junior and Senior Schools will be completed one year later. XCC is a continuum school with 15 consecutive years. Kindergarten and Year 1 to Year 4 of the Primary School are day schools and the rest will be mainly boarding schools.

Duties (Homeroom Teachers)
1. Be responsible for the holistic development and inclusion of each child to ensure their well being
2. Teach assigned subjects of the curriculum
3. Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons that cater not just to the whole class, but also to students with diverse abilities
4. Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
5. Motivate students with enthusiastic and creative class activities
6. Monitor student behavior as well as advise and encourage observance of School Code.
7. Record, evaluate, and report student learning outcomes to further facilitate student development
8. Provide credible feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on student progress and maintain a positive professional relationship with the parents
9. Undertake or participate in school events, activities and other assignments when required
10. Work collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work

Duties (ESL Teachers)
1. Implement apt instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing, and presenting skills, and promote multicultural awareness
2. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities from approved course outlines and group planning sessions
3. Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning climate
4. Use a variety of assessment approaches and processes to improve student learning
5. Provide credible feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on student progress and maintain a positive professional relationship with the parents
6. Assist in an English language training program for teachers
7. Undertake or participate in school events, activities and other assignments when required
8. Work collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work.

Duties (Subject Teachers)
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities from approved course outlines and group planning sessions
2. Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning climate that motivates students to learn
3. Use approaches that are appropriate to student needs and interests which also cater to individual differences
4. Use a variety of assessment approaches and processes to improve student learning
5. Provide credible feedback to students, parents and colleagues on student progress and maintain a positive professional relationship with the parents
6. Participate and assist in programs that promote the school curriculum, development, and implementation
7. Undertake or participate in school events, activities, and other assignments when required
8. Work collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work.
