Company Description

Day-Star School is a K-12 bilingual school located in Juticalpa, Honduras, Central America. The school is owned and operated by Mark and Betty Skallman, North Americans who have been living and working in Honduras since 1980. It began operations in August of 1988 with 23 students in Kindergarten through fourth grade. It has now been serving the community for over 30 years and proud to have 23 graduating classes. We are extremely proud that many of our former students have studied and worked in many countries around the world.
We aim to train students with personal academic excellence, cultivating in them optimism, spiritual security and an appreciation for different cultures. We offer an education that will motivate these young people to become excellent scholars and compassionate human beings, eager to become an example for the entire human race.

GENERAL SCHEDULE INFORMATION
• Each class is forty minutes
• The daily workload is comprised of six classes
• The weekly workload is 32 class hours
• There are two hours for planning, a breakfast break and a lunch break.
