Company Description

The American University of Mongolia is the premier business school in Mongolia. We offer bachelors degrees in business administration, finance, accounting, and data science. We also offer an MBA and a DBA. Students in our 100% English program are all vetted to ensure academic standards including a high level of English. Graduates from our school are in high demand in the workforce in Mongolia, and instructors have a great time working with them to develop their skills.

Job Description

This instructor in this position will primarily teach accounting courses (both GAAP and IFRS) and potentially general business courses for the bachelor's and master's courses. These subjects may include:

- Financial Accounting
- Business Valuation
- Managerial Accounting
- Corporate Finance
- Cost Management

We aim to match courses with the instructors background and abilities. Teaching is capped at 12-15 hours per week, with the remainder of the time for curriculum development, grading, and assisting students. In addition, if you enjoy research or practical application you are encouraged to work with students to do consulting or other work in the community.

Centrally located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, we offer flexible class schedules, a relaxed work environment, and the ability to work on self-directed academic projects. All instruction will take place in English. No Mongolian language skills are necessary. We prefer a native English speaker. If you are not a native English speaker you need to be able to demonstrate a significant amount of time living in a pure English environment.
