Company Description

Maggio Multicultural Academy (MMA) was organized as a private school in the Dominican Republic in 2016. It began to serve the need to provide a quality educational option for the families living in the Punta Cana/Bávaro area as an English Immersion school, as well as support the underserved children in the community. Since then, the school has evolved and has become a hybrid program, where we provide virtual independent learning to students around the world, as well as facilitated learning in a single location or educational pods. We provide the option of a predominantly individualized independent study program from home with the benefits of local support in certain areas. MMA believes that students learn best when taught how to learn instead of what to learn so that they can facilitate their own learning in their specific learning style. Job Description

Maggio Multicultural Academy offers a unique and exciting opportunity for teachers to be part of our innovative educational approach. We are currently seeking qualified and passionate educators to join our team. We are looking for teachers who want to make a difference that is new and different from the traditional educational model; teachers who think outside the box and who want to be a part of our mission and vision.
We welcome:
- recent graduates from college or university in education,
- students studying education online,
- teachers who have left the education field but still love to teach
- current teachers looking to take a sabbatical
- retired teachers looking to keep active and mentor teachers or help youth on a full-time or part-time basis

Positions available in the Punta Cana, Dominican Republic:
- Part-time or full-time Elementary and Secondary Academic Coaches (teachers): Plan, design, and deliver instruction to students. They may teach a wide range of subjects, grade levels, or specializations depending on the needs of the school and typically create lesson plans, develop instructional materials, facilitate discussions, assess student work, and provide feedback to students.

- Teaching Fellowships: This program is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to provide aspiring teachers with practical experience, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

We will offer those from outside the country housing and a living stipend plus salary depending on their qualifications.
