Job Description

ESL teachers play vital roles in China as the demand for English language training increases over time. In Birmy, they teach small classes with 4-12 students on average per session and conduct activities to students from different age levels for the better understanding of western cultures. Lesson planning is fundamental to maintain the high quality of lectures as it requires interesting and sufficient class contents and assistance for students in native English pronunciation and conversations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Teach 25 hours (work 40 hours) per week
• Work 5 days and take 2 days off each week
• Plan and prepare lessons
• Facilitate English level tests
• Perform administration duties (i.e. Attendance records, curriculum development)
• Provide counseling to students on English studies
• Participate in Extracurricular Activities
• Complete ongoing training and workshops arranged by the school
• Attend all scheduled meetings

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Certificates TESL/TEFL Certificate
Education Required Bachelor
Additional Requirements
• English Speaker with at least a Bachelor’s degree;
• TEFL/TESOL certification;
• Teaching experience is preferred.
