Hi Leo! Thanks for your question! In general, we let all of our teachers know that if you have any tattoos or piercings, they will need to be covered while you're in the classroom. We've had many teachers come through over the years with all sorts of tattoo placements! So long as you're able to cover them while teaching, you're good to go :) - Brooke @ TravelBud
You sure can! Contracts are for 12 months, but it's not difficult to renew if you want to. By completing a 12 month contract you'll usually be paid a completion bonus also, so that's always great news! If you do your placement through TravelBud, you'll also get free re-placement at any of our other qualifying Asian programs, meaning you only pay once for the service and can continue your placement...
Hi Julie! For teaching in South Korea, a bachelor's degree is imperative, you won't be able to get a work permit without one. Check out our program in Myanmar as an alternative - it's a great immersive cultural experience where you can make a wonderful impact in the lives of locals and it will give you some ESL teaching experience which could count towards better teach abroad opportunities in...
Hi Nina, We are so sorry we missed your question and just wanted to let you know that you can definitely apply for one of our six 2020 intakes in South Korea. Hi Casey, thanks for the great question! Acceptance rates depend really on how many people applying meet the requirements for the program. I see that your question appears to be around our teach in South Korea program. For this program things can be a little stricter than others where you'll need to meet requirements like holding a bachelor's degree (in any field), be of good physical and mental...
Hi Andrew, thanks for reaching out! Any Bachelor degrees are usually considered for South Korea, it needn't be something like a Bachelor of Education. We have had participants with everything from a BA in performing arts to law, to even a BSc in marine biology head over to teach. So long as you have a bachelor's degree certificate from a legitimate organization you should be usually be fine...
Hi Ginnie, thanks for reaching out. South Korea is quite strict on which nationalities are accepted to teach at schools there. Those 7 are generally the ones which are accepted. If you're an EU national with level C1 or 2 English proficiency certification, you may well be eligible for our Thailand program. I suggest submitting an enquiry with your details and we can check what you're eligible for.
Hi Sharon, thanks for reaching out. I see you're asking this in relation to our South Korea program. For teaching English in South Korea, a bachelor's degree is a prerequisite meaning you cannot legally get a job in the country without one. Being a very organised and developed country I would not recommend going the route of trying to get a job illegally here as the rules aren't easily bent by the...
