Studying at Keats School was an excellent decision. The teachers are professional, patient, and truly dedicated to helping students progress. Classes are well structured, intensive, and adapted to each student’s level and needs. I could clearly see my improvement in speaking, listening, and confidence in daily conversations. I honestly don't know how we can do better. For student life, everything is well-organized to help you in your daily life. Kunming is also a perfect city because not too big and no locals speak english so you have no choice but to practice chinese.

It was my first time participating in a one-to-one intensive Chinese course for an entire week, and the results were clear by the end. Teacher Su’s teaching methods were fantastic, and the environment was highly conducive to learning and immersion. One of the most effective aspects was the tryadic interaction between me, Teacher Su, and the computer screen. This approach allowed us to cover a wide range of topics efficiently, from conversational phrases to more complex grammar and cultural nuances. The one-to-one format also meant the lessons were tailored to my learning needs, and the pacing felt natural throughout. I was impressed by how much ground we were able to cover in such a short time, and the variety kept the lessons fresh.

What really helped was Teacher Su diluting the lessons with concepts that I learnt the previous days, which helped me reinforcing memorization. This structured approach made me feel confident as I could see my progress accumulating day by day. The intensive nature of the course, combined with Teacher Su’s patient guidance and encouragement, created a truly immersive experience. Even after just one week, I felt more comfortable remembering vocabulary, forming sentences, and applying what I had learned. I only wish I had more time to continue the course, but I can confidently say the experience was transformative. If you’re looking for an effective and personalized way to improve your Chinese, I highly recommend this course and Teacher Su’s teaching.

这次我很担心能不能从日本安全到达昆明。keats的老师们在出发前就给了我关于停留的适当建议，所以可以放心地去了。另外，负责的杜老师，根据我想要的内容组装了课程计划，还支持我一个人在中国国内行动。杜老师除了使用课本的课程外，还通过观看YouTube发表感想、唱歌、说明中国和我国文化差异等，还给我讲了实用的课。和老师在街上散步，喝茶，聊天也是愉快的回忆。
我认为一对一课程中重要的是，我想参加这样的课程，在逗留期间想成长到这个水平，有一个明确的计划。Keats的老师们会根据学生的意愿灵活地考虑课程。
周末旅行去了大理旅行。在旅行地，在keats学习的中文会话帮了大忙。我认为在keats学习给了我勇气和自由，让我学习。
在去昆明之前，我这次的决定是好事，还是能实现，我犹豫不决，但现在结束了旅行，可以明确地说，挑战是好事。优秀亲切的老师们和旅行中不可替代的经历，丰富了我的生活。

I stumbled upon Keats while searching online. I found the idea of ​​one-on-one intensive classes very appealing, so I took advantage of my work break to add the project to my portfolio.

I was quite worried about whether I could safely reach Kunming from Japan. The teachers at Keats gave me appropriate advice about my stay before I left, so I went without worry. Furthermore, Ms. Du, the teacher in charge, assembled a course plan based on my desired content and supported my solo travel within China. Besides the textbook-based lessons, Ms. Du also taught me practical lessons by sharing her thoughts on YouTube, singing, explaining the cultural differences between China and other countries. Walking, drinking tea, and chatting with the teacher on the street were also pleasant memories.

I think what's important in one-on-one lessons is that I want to take this kind of course, that I want to grow to this level during my stay, and that I have a clear plan. Keats' teachers are flexible in considering the course based on the student's wishes.

I went on a weekend trip to Dali. While there, the Chinese conversation I learned at Keats was a huge help. I think studying at Keats gave me the courage and freedom to learn.

Before going to Kunming, I hesitated about whether this decision was a good thing or even feasible. But now that the trip is over, I can say definitively that the challenge was a good thing. The excellent and kind teachers and the irreplaceable experiences of the trip enriched my life.

I really want to go back to Keats. Also, I want to attend Professor Du's class again. To speak more fluently with the teacher next time, I will work hard to improve my Chinese. Professor Du, thank you everyone at Keats.

KEATS School @ Kunming compromises everything that a student would need while studying abroad ranging from provided accommodation, 3 meals a day, daily activities in and out of school, and amazing teachers. I would like to personally extend my thanks to 皮老师 and 周老师 for being my teachers during my stay. They have significantly helped me in sharpening my conversational skills and expanding my vocabulary. My teachers are always adjusting to what I want to learn which satisfies my learning goals during my stay. Every week, which I particularly look forward to, there will be outdoor classes with your teachers where you get to spend time with them and practise your Mandarin.

Apart from my wonderful teachers, KEATS School @ Kunming also has other friendly and approachable teachers which I am sure that they are good given the quality of teachers that KEATS have. I would also like comment on the activities that KEATS would have to offer. Everyday (except Sundays), the activities are free to join which allows you to explore Kunming while also interacting with other teachers and students.

My accommodation with KEATS School is great as well. Since the accommodation is within the same building, getting to class is extremely easy. My room was equipped with WiFi, a queen sized bed, my own bathroom, a refrigerator, kettle, study table, television, hanging racks and closet, and lastly a nice view of outside.

The appeal of KEATS lies in its strong teaching staff, supportive learning environment, and welcoming atmosphere. The school offers a well-structured teaching system that encourages continuous interaction between teachers and students—not only during class hours, but also beyond the classroom. Students are free to ask questions and seek guidance at any time, which greatly enhances the learning experience.

What impressed me most is the quality of the teaching staff. The teachers represent a generation that combines modern educational approaches with a deep connection to traditional Chinese culture. This balance enables students—especially those from overseas and learners with no prior background in Chinese—to make rapid and effective progress.

In addition, the overall learning environment, accommodation, and meals provided by the school are of a high standard and thoughtfully designed to support students’ daily lives. While students typically spend an average of four to six hours per day in class, they continue to receive attentive care and support outside of lesson time. Requests for assistance or opportunities to engage in cultural activities, such as dining out together, are warmly welcomed.

Beyond classroom instruction, KEATS also offers a variety of cultural programs, including Chinese calligraphy sessions and weekend excursions. These elements collectively reflect the unique charm of the school and create a truly immersive and well-rounded learning experience.

I really enjoyed my 1-on-1 class. My learning goal was to practice speaking. So my teacher planned the class in accordance with my learning goal. I had the same teacher for three weeks, which was nice to get to know each other better. My classes were in the afternoon, so I had the morning and evening to explore Kunming or review class content. The opportunity to have breakfast, lunch, dinner at Keats was great to get in touch with other students. I was worried that it might be quite difficult because I didn't sign up for a group class, but there's no need to worry at all. Everybody was really friendly and the weekly activities (visiting a market, going out for dinner, cultural and sporty activities) are more great opportunities to meet other students and of course to have fun. Overall, I had an amazing experience, the student coordinator was always there to help with any questions, I never felt like I was alone, if I was in the mood for company I could participate in the activities or otherwise explore the city on my own.

The school is located in the city center, which is very convenient with easy access to transportation, making it quick to get anywhere. The school's facilities are excellent, all located in one building, such as classrooms, dorm rooms, and a gym, all arranged very reasonably. When you arrive in the city where the school is, there is a dedicated shuttle to pick you up, which is very thoughtful. In your room, you will receive a schedule detailing courses and other activities so that you have all the information you need. After class, the life mentor will help you get familiar with the surrounding environment, assist with things like getting a SIM card or a bank card. She is a very kind and professional staff member, and you can ask her any questions you encounter in daily life; she will help you solve them. From Monday to Friday, the school provides three meals a day, which are very delicious, healthy, home-style dishes with lots of vegetables, which I really like. Every evening, the school organizes various activities, such as visiting night markets, exercising, cultural classes, or experiencing Chinese cuisine. On weekends, there are also many activities, such as taking trips to nearby attractions. I didn’t know which study method would suit me, but my teacher Yuki helped me try different methods and find the one that works best for me. Yuki is an enthusiastic, tolerant, and professional teacher; she always smiles and knows what I need. She takes care of me in every detail, both in life and in learning. We study practical phrases, practice listening, grammar, and speaking. Yuki also assigns us homework, and we sometimes have outdoor classes to experience Chinese culture. I really enjoy taking classes with Yuki. She is a very good and professional teacher who guides students effectively. She has a wealth of knowledge, allowing you to learn not just Chinese but also Chinese history and culture. I study Chinese in Kunming, which is a very livable city with nice weather and beautiful scenery. The locals are very warm and friendly. From Kunming, you can also explore nearby areas and see the beautiful Yunnan Province. I highly recommend students who want to learn Chinese to come to Keats School, as it will be a wonderful experience. I will also continue to come back to study Chinese because I really love this school, the courses, and my teacher Yuki!

Acabo de terminar 4 semanas tomando clases privadas con Keats en Beijing y lo único que me faltó fue más tiempo para conocer más lugares. Me recogieron en el aeropuerto y llevaron al hotel que me ayudaron a reservar. Después me enseñaron el camino a la escuela, decidimos en qué se enfocaría la clase y fuimos a cenar con la maestra. La maestra Du me ayudó a aprender mucho vocabulario nuevo, a practicar mi pronunciación y me alentó mucho a platicar para mejorar mi habilidad de habla en chino. Después de las clases la comida estaba incluida y la escuela organizó excursiones de lunes a sábado en las que pude conocer los diferentes puntos turísticos llenos de historia en Beijing incluyendo la famosa Muralla China, la Ciudad Prohibida, el Templo del Cielo entre otros. Fui en temporada baja por lo que fui casi la única estudiante pero me tocó atención muy personalizada，además fueron muy atentos con que estuviera agusto. Recomiendo mucho venir aquí.

I just finished four weeks of private lessons with Keats in Beijing, and the only thing I wished I had was more time to explore. They picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel they helped me book. Afterward, they showed me the way to the school, we decided on the lesson's focus, and then we went to dinner with the teacher. Ms. Du helped me learn a lot of new vocabulary, practice my pronunciation, and strongly encouraged me to converse to improve my spoken Chinese. After classes, lunch was included, and the school organized excursions from Monday to Saturday where I visited various historical landmarks in Beijing, including the famous Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, among others. I went during the off-season, so I was practically the only student, but I received very personalized attention, and they were very attentive to my comfort. I highly recommend coming here.

I had an excellent study experience at Keats school with teacher Amber. In a very immersive way, she helped me mastering the basics of the Chinese language. I participated in many activities such as visiting temples, going to an interesting museum, drinking tea at a tea ceremony, whilst learning Chinese. In the weekends, there were interesting excursions organized by the school and during weeknights, we went to night markets, restaurants, and fun activities, such as pool billiard. My teacher was very patient and great fun to work with. My time at school was very pleasurable and I made great progressions.

I studied in Keats school, Kunming from September to December this year. It was an unforgettable experience. Firstly, the school itself has good environment and people. They have a big canteen where students and teachers can socialize in Chinese. The canteen is also cleaned everyday. Food is also provided everyday. The rooms are also comfortable and fitting. You can request the 阿姨 to clean the rooms too when needed. Next are the teachers. The teachers in Keats are very friendly. They are basically your guides here in Kunming. The lessons provided can be adjusted based on your proficiency in Chinese. There are times when your teacher can take you out to Kunming's most famous places, such as Green Lake, West Hill Park, Old Street, etc. There are also school activities that you can participate in. From learning more about Chinese culture to visiting other towns/places. Lastly I want to talk about Kunming itself. The people here are very friendly. The environment is very clean and lively. There are a lot of delicious food in Kunming and is a must try.
