My legal internship with CRCC Asia took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and here I truly experienced what hot weather feels like. Beyond the blazing heat, the practical work I undertook provided me with invaluable insights into the legal field. From the outset, I was introduced to the working environment and given tasks that helped me understand what a future career in law might involve. I assisted in drafting client emails, writing meeting minutes, and attending client meetings, all of which allowed me to develop practical skills and a better understanding of legal processes.

One of the most valuable aspects of the internship was the connections I made. Working alongside fellow interns from different backgrounds and experiencing a new culture together added tremendous value to my experience. The opportunity to interact with professionals in the field and learn from their expertise was incredibly enriching.

Overall, my time with CRCC Asia was insightful both professionally and personally. While the work I undertook did not qualify myself as an expert in my chosen industry, it certainly made me more ‘in the know’, adding to my confidence as I prepare to apply for future opportunities within the legal industry

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
The traffic!

Legal Internship in Ho Chi Minh City

My legal internship in Ho Chi Minh City was an incredible experience filled with learning, cultural immersion, and growth. Working in the vibrant city center was exciting! The law firm’s supportive environment and my amazing colleagues made working enjoyable, and I gained numerous transferable skills. As a foreign legal intern, I was able to help my colleagues by drafting and reviewing legal documents as well as researching different areas of Vietnamese law. Sharing daily lunches with them was a highlight as well. Beyond work, I explored HCMC and enjoyed taking part in events organised by CRCC, especially visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and volunteering at a local dog shelter! Connecting with interns from diverse fields only added to the experience, and the welcoming nature of the people in HCMC left a lasting impression. This internship was more than just professional development- it was a culturally enriching adventure I will always cherish!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would have stayed longer to make the most out of the program!

Ryan's Japan internship and experience

This CRCC Asia internship in the Kansai region was an invaluable experience. From completing my 1 month internship in Kyoto,Japan to the flexibility of being able to explore venture Osaka and Tokyo was amazing.Firstly, my host company (COGNANO),a biotechnology company, were very welcoming and to get past the language barrier I was assigned an English supervisor which was very helpful and a worry before I completed the experience.Whilst completing my work hours during the weekdays I was able to explore and took part in various activities during the weekends and during the Japanese holiday.

Some of the activities involved getting together with other interns on the program and delve deeper into the food culture of Japan with a food cooking class and others revolved around the history of Japan with visiting various temples and the earthquake museum(beautiful attractions might I add).

I was able to develop skills to further my career in my field of study engineering by getting first hand working environment experience and complete various experiments and learn the steps behind them and was granted the opportunity to be apart of a hsareholders meeting and see how they ran.

Overall, this program granted me a better insight of my field of study, working environments and allowed me to explore Japan (a country I’ve always wanted to visit) and understand the variety of historical and food culture that comes with it.

Pros
  • A flexible schedule to grant me to explore a country I’ve always wanted to whilst also getting invaluable working experience for my future career.
  • Everything from my internship to the fun activities on the weekends were very well organised
  • Meeting interns and colleagues from around the world and making a vast range of connections
Cons
  • As I started later compared to some of the other interns wasn’t formally introduced with everyone.

Internship and Exploring Seoul Winter 2025

Although I was only one of two interns total for the winter term with CRCC, I couldn't be more grateful and happy with my experience. I learned so much, traveled a ton, and made some amazing long-lasting professional and personal connections/friends. Seoul is a full and bright city, but it is also possible to travel all around Korea even if you only have a short amount of time. I absolutely regret nothing and loved every second of my time, only wish I could've stayed longer since 8 weeks goes by insanely fast~

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
San-nakji is probably the most unfamiliar/hard to find! It's a raw octopus dish (can be a little unnerving to some because it's known to be moving still when served) but was delicious with some side dishes, sesame oil, and beef~

Tokyo - CRCC Summer Internship Experience

Spending my summer in Tokyo for an internship was an amazing experience. It was so much fun to explore a new culture, meet new people, and live in such an exciting city. CRCC, the company that organized the program, did a great job making sure we had a place to stay and helped us get around Tokyo. Overall, I had a great time, but there were a couple of things I wish had been better.

One thing I wished for was more organized activities for the interns. While we naturally made friends and hung out, it would have been nice if CRCC had planned more events for us to meet and interact. Another thing that could be improved is the professional aspect of the internship. For people looking for a serious and career-focused experience, this program might not be the best choice. The internship itself was decent, but it didn’t feel very structured or intense.

What would you improve about this program?
Just giving a little bit more focus on the quality of the internship for the interns and getting all the students together more
Pros
  • Housing
  • Introduction of the city
  • Staff Support
Cons
  • Interactivity
  • Internship Quality

Best 2 Months of My Life

During the 2 months of my marketing internship in Seoul, I developed new skills like web design, improved my Korean skills with my co-workers, and most of all, made friends that I will cherish for a long time. My living accommodation was surprisingly quite spacious and I loved the location(Yonsei Hall). The CRCC Asia staff were so helpful and kind especially when I had to go to the emergency room. They were with me every step of the way. Everyday was so much fun and I’m so glad I decided to go through with this program.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Become friends with the other program interns! (Especially the ones that live in your dorm building). It will make your entire experience in Korea all the more fun. The best part of ending my work day was meeting up with my new friends and going out for dinner. Going to events like Water Bomb festival or even small pop-up shops are so much more fun as a group.
Pros
  • Nice Spacey Dorm (Yonsei Hall)
  • Very Helpful Staff
  • Location (Proximity to popular areas)
Cons
  • Mandatory CRCC Asia Events
  • Unpaid Internship
  • Culmination of Transportation Cost

It was an amazing experience

I found this so fun because it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip! But it definitely solidified my wanting to work and live in Japan. I would want other participants to know that there are lots of spiders and cockroaches naturally on the street though, and can definitely scare ya off haha. I noted that the work can definitely get tough too as you can get overloaded, but the experience for the resume is so worth it in the end. It also teaches you how to be flexible when in a new environment. I loved it!

What was your funniest moment?
My funniest moment was when i was walking down the street and this big cockroach comes out of the wall beside me, i jumped so high, apparently the elderly man walking next to me found it to be hilarious.
Pros
  • Work experience
  • Adventure
  • Friendships
Cons
  • Can be expensive
  • The company may not be kind
  • Boss can be rude sometimes

Great experience, so thankful

I spent an incredible month in China with CRCC Asia, where I interned at a dynamic startup focused on mobile games. My role involved coding projects, which offered invaluable hands-on experience. However, what truly stood out were the networking opportunities and the friendships I formed. We traveled around China, indulged in amazing food, and embarked on countless random adventures that made the experience unforgettable. Additionally, we had the chance to learn Chinese, which added a unique cultural dimension to the internship.

This experience was pivotal in my career. A few months after returning to university, it directly led to my first paid internship, setting me on a path towards a future of working abroad. When I reflect on my time there, I’m filled with fond memories and gratitude for this journey. I highly recommend CRCC Asia for anyone looking to combine career growth with cultural immersion and global connections.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
We ate a lot of chicken feet which looked strange at first but then I actually started to like it.
Pros
  • Well organized
  • Great people
  • Selective
Cons
  • Expensive

A Life-Changing Experience in Japan!

I had an incredible two-month internship in Japan that exceeded my expectations. I loved wandering through bustling markets, visiting stunning temples, and experiencing the vibrant nightlife. The city was alive with energy, and every day felt like a new adventure waiting to happen. The CRCC Asia support team was always helpful, and the other interns made the experience even better. It was a perfect mix of work, travel, and cultural immersion—I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and rewarding internship abroad!

June-September Tokyo Internship Program

Overall, I loved my time as a CRCC intern. I had the opportunity to meet other interns from around the globe while also had the chance to meet and talk with people that live and work in Japan. I really enjoyed my experience in Tokyo my favorite part of the CRCC internship program was the cultural events as this allowed me to learn more and appreciate Japanese culture. Throughout my process of enrolling into this program, meeting host companies, sitting interviews, and working with my host company, the staff were always with me if I ever needed assistance. The staff have been genuinely lovely and supportive and I really appreciate their kindness. I am delighted to have completed this program, it was my dream to live and work in Tokyo as in the near future I plan to move here full time. This program really helped me get a feeling for Tokyo living, appreciate the culture, work in the environment and meet some of the nicest people! I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in living and working abroad for a period of time:)

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

Learning the language of the country helps if you want to speak with locals and share experiences of your countries. You can always practice by speaking with natives too!
Pros
  • Stronger resume
  • Better understanding of another culture
  • Meeting people from across the globe
