Before I started learning Chinese, I was quite intimidated by the language and worried whether I’d be able to manage it. Thanks to my teacher Jane, those worries quickly vanished. The lessons never felt like a chore; instead, they were a lot of fun. Jane is very patient, but also laid-back and very flexible, so we were able to have online lessons when it wasn’t possible at the institute. The videos and materials on Classin are also well-structured, interesting, and helpful. I’m already looking forward to my next course, because I feel well taken care of here.🥰

This school is in a lovely location in Shanghai and has great teachers and support staff. I felt very welcomed from the moment I arrived and they offer a free trial class to really make sure this is the school you want to attend. I like Silk Mandarin because they use a effective and engaging teaching method for language learning. They provide excellent learning materials, such as flashcards and the reading pen, which help expand vocabulary and improve pronunciation.

In addition, Silk Mandarin offers two learning options: group classes or private lessons. This was great for me because I was able to choose the format that best fit my family life and studies without neglecting my children.

I’ve been studying at Silk Mandarin for over 6 months now, currently taking the HSK 4 course with my teacher, Sisi.

Before joining Silk Mandarin, my Mandarin learning felt quite unstructured. I had reached around an HSK 3 level, but I wasn’t making consistent progress anymore. I think the main issue was the lack of a clear system and progression in my previous learning approach, which made it harder to build on what I already knew.

Overall, I’ve been enjoying the learning experience and feel more confident continuing my Mandarin journey. I plan to keep taking lessons and work towards my language goals.

Silk Mandarin is an excellent resource for learning Mandarin Chinese. I am at about HSK2 level, and had a lot of mandarin vocabulary, grammar, word order, and phrases swimming around in my head from a lot of self-study. Their "Slow Motion Technique" really helped me to order my existing information and knowledge into something that was logical and understandable, so I could untangle complex grammar to allow me to actually speak in real Mandarin sentences and understand real Mandarin conversations. Combined with an excellent teacher (Christina), I have found it to be practical approach to Mandarin learning, and I would highly recommend it.
