Being a part of the Seamester crew this summer provided me with one of the best experiences I've ever had. Not only did I learn practical sailing and diving skills, but also what it means to be a part of a crew with all different backgrounds and interests. Seamester challenged me to be a better person, as well as taught me how to live in simplicity amongst the most gorgeous sights I've ever seen. There's something different about visiting different countries from the ocean, and Seamester's delivery of this was superb. I made some of my best friends while on my trip, and I am forever thankful for the way they both challenged me and encouraged me. I'd pay triple to do it all over again.

This is something you will never find anywhere else. The experience you get with SEAmester is uncomparable to your typical classroom setting. During my trip, I have made friends that will last a lifetime and experiences I will never forget. I had the best time hanging with the crew on our voyages and that will be something I remember forever. Take a risk and sign up because you will not regret it. I miss my Ocean Star and Firebolt crew!

SeaMester was hands down one of the most INCREDIBLE experiences I have ever had in my life. I loved meeting all the new people that were on OceanStar and FireBolt. The staff Eric, Cooper, Marina, and Bobbie made the experience 1000x better than I thought it could be. Everyone on OceanStar was always so friendly and helped you whenever you needed it. I wish I could go back!! If anyones considering taking part in one of these adventures, I say you MUST do it!

This program was truly amazing. Every moment was filled with adventure and every adventure taught me something new. Life aboard was simple, it was hard work but it never demanded more than what we were capable of and more often than not it was fun. The classes we took were extremely informative and learning to operate the ship was amazing. This program definitely changed me for the better. I learned so much that inspired me to change my lifestyle. I learned from the people onboard, the environment around me, the ship itself, and the classes. Truthfully this is the experience of a lifetime and it is worth experiencing. The only thing to remember is you have to work for it, but that's part of what made it so incredible.

I stumbled upon SeaMester not knowing what to expect as I boarded Argo to sail from Tahiti to Australia. I’m fortunate to have family that signed me up for this trip and pretty much forced me to go. I am not required to write this review but have never had a better experience in my life and therefore feel compelled to. We saw humpback whales swim along our schooner. We dove the Great Barrier Reef. We danced in small island bars across the South Pacific, and best of all we formed a bond as a crew that will never be broken. These memories were etched into our minds to be cherished for a lifetime. These are things I never thought I would do and it brings tears to my eyes to think I almost missed out on these experiences, these people. Don’t hesitate like I did. Sign up now and take the first step towards something you will never regret.

I have wanted to do the SeaMester program for 3 years before I finally made the call to do it. I can say that not only was it worth the wait, but I am so glad I did not decide to go with any other program out there. SeaMester is literally EXACTLY what I was looking for and not only met my expectations but exceeded them ten-fold. I had the opportunity to travel to some of the most remote and beautiful places on earth and places that most will ever dream of going. Along with that, I also go the sailing knowledge and skill that I was looking for. When you add all of this onto the amazing people on the trip, you get an experience that you will tell for the rest of your life. I can relive almost every day of the trip and I would not change anything if I had the chance. I am so glad I made the choice to participate in such a program and I can promise anyone that decides to go will be nothing but grateful for the time spent aboard.

So grateful to have had the opportunity to study with Seamester this past summer (Tahiti-Australia 80 day). In addition to visiting unique places I probably never would have seen, I also made lifetime friends who have become a second family to me. Despite difficulties of seasickness or no personal space, this program is worth it because you grow and change into the person you want to be. I've learned so much, and I know that my Seamester family will always be there to support me if I need them. I've left with my head full of new knowledge from the classes, and wonderful memories I will cherish always. Thanks Seamester, for the incredible summer and all the opportunities. I still can't believe it's over.

This is an incredible experience and it was the best summer of my life. From exploring and sailing across the ocean in the South Pacific to meeting life long friends I can't imagine another experience that even comes close. I can't think of a better way to learn about marine biology or oceanography than taking classes on an ocean and doing labs by scuba diving and looking at marine life or coral that we were studying in class earlier in the day. This trip gives you appreciation for hard work with fun and a sense of adventure.

The 80 days I spent aboard Ocean Star have been some of the most incredible days of my life. Every day is packed full of so many amazing experiences you wonder how the next day could possibly compare to the last. And yet each time it’s just as awesome, if not more so. The people on this adventure with you will start off as strangers, but by the end of the trip they will know you better than some of your friends back home and they’ll feel like a second family. Because you’re reading these reviews, I’m guessing there’s a part of you that already wants to sign up. Stop thinking about it and do it. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, you’ll most likely remember it as one of the best decisions you made.

There really is no word that describes how amazing Seamester is. Take every positive word you can think of and multiply them by infinity. That's how good it was. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! I highly recommend doing one of the trips. Great staff, great schooner and a great place to be able to call home.
You will go many places, see many incredible things that are breath taking. You will feel like a conquerer. You will feel like a sailor. And if you play your cards right, you will feel like a crew.
