Great course to be a great English teacher

I recently completed a 120-hour online TEFL course and found it to be an excellent introduction to the world of English teaching. The lessons were clear, well-structured, and covered a wide range of topic from grammar and classroom management to teaching techniques and lesson planning. I especially appreciated the practical examples and quizzes that helped reinforce key concepts. It’s a flexible course, perfect for anyone looking to start a teaching career or refresh their knowledge. Highly recommended!

TESOL program

I have always wanted to have my TESOL certificate, as I have always wanted to teach English. Initially, I was going to pursue my master's degree in TESOL here in Korea, as my university is one of the best programs to teach it (Hanguk University of Foreign Studies, HUFS). However, when I went to a trial class, I was shocked to see that they taught the course in FULL Korean, which I am not fluent in as I was born and raised in another country. Years later, after graduation and having a teaching job, I decided to have a certificate that would allow me to have a solid teaching background, TESOL, so I started to look online for courses in English for me to study with more ease. I found World Tesol Academy, so I enrolled. Luckily, there was a full certificate package with a discount, so I am currently studying to get my other certificates: TEAL, TEYL, and TEOL. Wish me luck!

What would you improve about this program?
I would like the academy to offer other certificate options for TESOL, such as advanced and pro TESOL.
Pros
  • Can study at my own pace and time.
  • Modules and lessons are simple to study, yet informational and useful.
  • Tests are short, but do ask relevant/important questions.
Cons
  • I had to scroll all the way down to my current lesson. Would be better if I could contract the finished ones.

The 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course with World TESOL Academy

I thoroughly enjoyed completing the 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course with World TESOL Academy. The course was well-structured, informative, and user-friendly. It covered essential topics such as classroom management, lesson planning, and ESL teaching strategies in a clear and practical way. The flexibility of the online platform allowed me to study at my own pace. The quizzes after each module reinforced key concepts and boosted my confidence as an ESL teacher. More recommendations are on the way when I get that GoPro, because I’m a social media influencer with a million followers. I'm planning to travel to the USA for ESL teaching!

Well Packaged TEFL/TESOL Coarse

This has been incredible, the course material is well unpacked, tutors are available to assist you, and the assessment at the end of each lesson provides a confirmation of your progress. What more can you ask for!

I thoroughly enjoyed the sequence of the modules; it makes perfect sense, and it helped me to minimize the ambiguity of not knowing where to start if you were to be given a chance to teach. Moreover, the awesome classroom demonstration of how a teacher would introduce verbs, what resources to use was awesome.

I will recommend this to anyone who wants to be a successful ESL teacher.

What would you improve about this program?
Nothing and again nothing! I will add more demostarion from teachers of different age groups.
Pros
  • The how you will teach content is the best!
Cons
  • An incredible journey

Good course

It is an awesome course. I could brush up on many things through this course. The support given is excellent, and the way the lessons are arranged is impressive. However, I feel there should be an update on some lessons. Everything seems so simple, therefore, I feel there should be some complex part too. The grammar lessons can be made a bit complex along with the quiz. Anyway, I recommend this course to all those who want to take up teaching ESL. It is worth joining and can help you refresh your knowledge.

Pros
  • Easy to navigate through the sections
  • Quality materials
Cons
  • Some content is not upto the standard

The course is quite easy to learn, and the fact that you can do the quiz and see where you made mistakes helps with doing your final exam. I have a teacher record certificate, but opted to do this one as well, and I am very proud to say the course materials are so much easier to understand. I would recommend this program to anyone; in fact, I have already recommended it to one of my friends. World TESOL Academy has given me more confidence to teach online, as the certificate is very professional and the fact that I can get a hard copy is even better.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The demo lesson on native camp, I did it once and was so nervous that I had to redo it but I think I was even more nervous the second time but managed to pass.
Pros
  • easy to learn materials
  • Quiz results and corrections given
  • So much details that you have to pass

120-Hour TEFL/TESOL course experience

I am a non-experienced training teacher. This 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course was my first-ever teaching course, and it was well worth it! I loved every moment of this course, and it felt like it was made just for me. One of the most beneficial aspects of the course was the focus on student-centered learning. I learned the importance of adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and how to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. These insights have already begun to shape how I view the role of a teacher—not as a lecturer, but as a facilitator of growth and discovery. I was also introduced to various teaching methodologies, classroom management techniques, and language acquisition theories, all of which broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of effective language instruction. I wished it lasted longer, and the price of this course is affordable, which I am super grateful for. I aspire to develop into an effective teacher, and I express my gratitude for the opportunity to embark on this educational journey.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Balancing my time with the course.
Pros
  • Begginer friendly
  • Affordable
  • Legit

TESOL Program

I recently completed a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course, and it was a great experience overall. The program gave me a solid foundation in teaching English, from grammar and lesson planning to classroom management techniques. It was clear, well-structured, and very beginner-friendly.

What I really appreciated was how flexible the course was—I could study at my own pace, which made it easy to balance with my schedule. The content was practical and useful, especially the modules on teaching different age groups and adapting lessons for various learning levels.

This certificate gave me the confidence to teach English, and now I feel ready to explore opportunities abroad, especially in countries like Vietnam. I highly recommend TESOL to anyone thinking about teaching English internationally or online!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The most nerve-wracking moment was definitely the final exam. I wanted to do well and prove that I truly understood the material, so the pressure felt high. To overcome it, I reviewed all the key concepts, took notes, and reminded myself that I had prepared thoroughly throughout the course. I stayed calm, took my time, and trusted what I had learned—and I passed!
Pros
  • Efficient lesson design
  • Easy to use interface
Cons
  • Small amount of material
